chapter 67: spooky screams

Xavier's pov:

"And that's why The Seven Dwarfs is the best costume idea." Xander tries to persuade Nat, pointing at Dopey on the powerpoint. We're all currently sitting in our living room, each one of us is pitching our halloween idea via Powerpoints to Nat, who gets the final say. Although for the past decade she previously matched with Seb and Flynn, we changed her mind to join us.

It took quite a bit of convincing but with the bribery of Cadbury chocolate, she folded.

"Good idea, but who am I gonna be again?" Tash arches her brow. "Vincent is Grumpy for obvious reasons, Adrien is Bashful because he's like a mother-hen, Leo is Doc cause he's smart as shit, Chase is Sneezy due to his extreme case of hay-fever, Xavier is Dopey cause he's perfect like that, I'm the best which is Sleepy and you're Happy because you are always somehow optimistic." Xander summarises with a smile.

"I'm intrigued, now go sit down whilst I kick out two options." Nat stands up and walks towards the digital tv, bringing an apple pen with her so she can write on the apple tv.

"Starting off, I'm eliminating Chase's idea of The Days Of The Week, well that's self explanatory. Next I'm terminating Vincent's pick of The Seven Sins because I would rather shoot myself than see Xander dressed up as lust." She crosses out their ideas, leaving only Adrien, Leo, Xander and I left.

"Hmm, now I'm going to kick out two more then the remaining finalists can pitch their ideas one last time before I decide who's the winner." She rubs her chin, thinking of who to eliminate next.

She crosses out mine and Leo's ideas, darn it. "Sorry Xavier but I think Vincent wouldn't even wear a Princess dress even if I asked him to." She explains why my Disney Princess idea had to be shut down. "And Leo, as iconic as the Dance Moms cast is, I ain't gonna wear a dance costume for Halloween." She elucidates and Leo sighs.

"Moving onto the final two.." Tash hops back into her seat as Xander and Adrien stand back up.

Adrien switches back to his slideshow and he prepares to persuade Nat's opinion. "Starting things off," He begins to walk around. "Alvin and the Chipmunks is the best costume idea for this family because V can be Dave, I can be Theodore, Leo as Simon, Chase can be Jeanette, Xavier as Eleanor, Xander can be Alvin and my Sunshine as Brittany." He proudly states.

"Your turn Xander." Nat gives him the mic.

"I don't need another minute because I already know that there's nothing more I can explain to you, but." He takes a moment and reaches into his pocket, taking out an old flimsy photograph. "You probably don't remember this but here is a picture of all of us when we were previously dressed up as The Seven Dwarfs." Xander hands her the photo.

"You were 2 at the time, so I reckon the clothes won't fit but fear not, we can order new ones." He solves his own problem.

As Nat's thumb rubs over the picture, Xander sits back down anticipating a win. Personally, I think Chase's idea should be first, he said that I could be Friday. And let's be real, who doesn't wanna be Friday? "I have come to a decision," She stands up and turns to face all of us, eagerly waiting for the results.

"Although you all put up a good fight, I'm going with Xander's choice." She announces with pride.

"Score!" Xander jumps up in celebration. They both share a hug and he declares "I promise to not disappoint!" He beams with glee. "Vincent would've rocked the Sin of Wrath though." Chase jokes which earns him a glare from our eldest brother. "I think he's more of a Pride type of guy." Adrien winks at Chase.
