Natasha's pov:
"I'm so excited for tomorrow." I inform Xander about my feelings. "I am too, it is your anniversary after all." We clink our hips on the beat. "This song is my jam." He sways to the rhythm as we vibe along to Just Dance. "It's Niki Minaj, of course it's gonna be a jam." We throw our arms in the air and strike a finishing pose.
Slow claps emerge from behind us.
"Well played." Adrien leans against the door frame of the living room. "How long have you been watching?" Xander asks in fright. "Long enough to witness your deafening singing, could be classed as ear abuse." Adrien chuckles at the memory as Xander's face pales. "Don't worry. Between you and me, Chase has the worst voice." He covers the side of his mouth so nobody hears what he says.
A laugh bursts out of Xander and I at Adrien's unexpected remark.
A pitiful look is bestowed upon his face at our reaction, particularly mine. I wonder what that could be about. "You two should get to bed, it's 10 already." He tilts his head upstairs. "Night night Sunshine." Adrien kisses my temple and ruffles my hair before sending me off.
As Xander and I trot up the stairs, an inkling feeling sinks into my stomach.
Xander immediately notices my frown. "Something on your mind?" He rests a hand on my back as we enter my room. "No it's nothing, just nerves for tomorrow." I dismiss his concern. He gives me a special glance and tucks me in. "God I hate our Wednesday timetable." He swears and softly places a kiss on my cheek.
"Let me guess, because it has no P.E." I wink as he turns to exit.
"You know me too well." He finalises and gently closes the door. I plug in my phone to charge for the night and switch off my nightlight. I need to get a goodnight's sleep, I have an important training tomorrow after school. A track championship is coming up and we've been working like crazy for it. I rest against the soft duck-feathered pillows and let sleep consume my consciousness.
I wonder what events lie ahead for tomorrow.
Leo's pov:
"Another one in Bonito." Chase lets out a frustrated sigh. "That marks four missiles in one week." I update the data to the system. "Vincent won't be too pleased about that." Adrien tsks and keeps his eyes glued to his computer. Work life at headquarters have been nothing but chaos over the past month.
The British have been sending more frequent texts and even more missiles too apparently.
"I ain't being the one that has to tell him." Chase informs us. "It's fine, I'll do it." I take accountability and bring my Ipad with me to Vincent's office. I trot along to the elevator when my mechanical assistant Alessandra pops right beside me. "Schedule my meeting to be delayed by 30 minutes, I need to have a private word with Vincent." I instruct and the robot hovers away.
When I reach the elevator I click the 7th floor and the machine starts to elevate.
Since Vincent is the Don, getting his own floor is accustomed to the roll. A whole level dedicated to his desk, the man gets what he wants. As the doors ding open I am greeted with his receptionist, secretary and personal assistant. He gets the big three whilst Adrien, Chase and I are stuck with only one.
