Nico's pov:
"What the fuck are you doing?" I scramble to try get my brother off of me but it's no use. Damien chucks me into our father's office and the door shuts behind us. "Confess." He whacks my head. "What are you talking about? Dad do something." I try get my father to help but he just sits in his chair, amused at us.
"Fess up that you're in love with my ex." He brutally pushes my shoulder and walks behind Dad's chair.
I'm speechless in shock. He has the audacity to say that to me? His own brother? "Maybe admit that you're in love with my girlfriend." I ignore the question completely. Damien stifles out a laugh before rolling his eyes at my comment. Sassy much? "I don't know what delusion that you're living in but news flash, she broke up with you." He hints at the worst day of my life.
"At least she didn't send me to fucking jail." I fold my arms, two can play that game.
"Touché." Our Dad comments on our bickering.
"You didn't follow along with the gangbang right?" I need to confirm my suspicion as a growing knot in my stomach begins to enlarge. My father looses eye contact with me. "No we didn't, the investors were disappointed." He admits. The thing is, is that I haven't lived with my Dad for years so I wouldn't be able to tell if he was lying or not.
I hope he isn't.
My irritating shithead of a brother snarls. "I can't believe you gave up your freedom and life in Brazil for that. You're bound to have unlimited missions from here on out." I shrug my shoulders at his dismay. "Nobody gets to touch my girl apart from me." As the last word leaves my mouth I see Damien's knuckles whiten around the back of my father's chair.
The next sentence that comes out of Dad's mouth is a sentence that I would rather chop my ears off than to hear again.
"I need you to stop your obsession with her, Son." He places his hands on the oak desk. I didn't even need to question him because yes, I was fucking obsessed. It wasn't healthy but I can't help it, the girl is perfect for me and I love her too much to deny any accusations. And for the first time in my life, I stood up to my father.
"No." I abruptly state.
The both of them are taken aback. "What was that?" Damien asks me to repeat myself as if he can't believe his ears. "I'm not going to stop loving her just because you told me to." Dad does a double take at my words. I, myself can't even believe what I'd just said but once they were out, I wasn't taking them back.
No regrets, my feelings were out and I was loud and proud.
"There are plenty of fish in the sea." Father begins to try persuade me otherwise. The tension in the atmosphere heightens. "But I want my fish. There is nobody else for me and I don't want anyone else." I let my hands to the talking. "Are you in love?" My Dad chuckles in disbelief.
He stops at my silence.
"Nico, you can't be serious. I've raised you better than this." He stands up in shock at my rebellious reaction. "No Dad, you didn't raise me at all. Since the day I was born you stopped caring about anything but work." I hand him brutal honestly on a silver platter. "See what I'm saying? Love makes you say stupid shit like this." He somehow manages to bend my words against Nat.
