Natasha's pov:
"Do I look good in this dress?" My insecurities shine through as we wait for Vincent to open the door. "Obviously but you'll look better in my arms." My husband of 3 years brightens up my mood. "Don't mess with me and be serious." I playfully slap his wrist with a beaming smile.
I hold the box in my hand with an unusual uneasiness.
"It's been a week since you've found out, don't let it dampen your mindset my love." His grip on my waist tightens as he graces my lips with his. "Well that's a way to start my day." Xander sarcastically opens the door and places a hand on his hip. "Good seeing you too Xand." Nico shakes his hand.
"Oh C'mere." My brother pulls me into a hug.
He ruffles my hair into a mess and I pull away. "The house is eerily quiet, where are the kids?" I ask and step back into my family home. Nico has disappeared behind the wall and into the breakfast bar so I'm here with Xander in the main entrance. "They left with their mommys to go get more alcohol." My brother summarises with a smile.
"Let me guess, they found out that you and Xavier were coming so they had to stock up?" I arch a brow at laugh at Xander's reaction.
"Something along the lines of that." He shrugs it off as we begin to walk towards the commotion. "So any news on the apartment?" Xander refers to the billion dollar penthouse that Nico bought after we first moved to New York. "About that.." I begin with a doubtful smile. "Don't tell me you've added another aquarium. I have no clue why you like them so much." He complains.
"First of all, fish are cute. Second of all, we're selling the place." My words contain excitement and nervousness.
My brother halts in place. "You're kidding right? It was perfect for the two of you." He gasps in disbelief at our dream house. It's now the three of us is what I wanted to say but I stop myself. "I thought it was too but we've found something bigger and more down to earth." I tease him at the mega mansion that Nico bought just last week.
"I'm going to need a drink for this." He comments as we reach the breakfast bar with the rest of my siblings.
"TASH!" They all cheer in unison.
"Hey guys." I wave at them whilst searching for the grandpa of the group. "Happy retirement Vince!" I squeal and hand him the box. "Hiya Princess." He kisses my cheek and takes my present. "It's sad seeing you age." I place my hands on his stubble. "Having only a couple grey hairs at my age is considered lucky." His soft lips brush against my forehead.
"How's home?" I ask as the winter winds bash against the glass frame.
"Same old, same old." He flashes me a warm smile. "Sunshine! What would you like to drink?" Adrien stands beside Xander as they help distribute the only drinks they have left in the house. "A water would be fine." I give them a thumbs up. Xander arches a brow at my words. "Water? That's so boring. Vincent just bought a brand new bottle of your favourite Smirnoff, it would be considered a crime not to have some." He places the bottle on the counter.
"She's the one driving us back to the airport." Nico buts in to save me from spoiling the surprise.
God, I have no idea where I'd be without him. "You're not staying the night?" A sad look bestows itself upon Xavier's face. "I wish we could but I have an important work conference with all the baltic countries tomorrow, I can't miss it." I give him an excuse. "Don't worry, maybe next time then." He smiles and continues to search for beer but can't seem to find any so he waits and sips on my bottle of Smirnoff.
