Ishika's friends teased her with various names because of her dark skin, which made her feel very hurt.

When she reached the age for marriage, her relatives started saying, "It will be difficult to find a groom for her, they prefer fair-skinned women."

She even tried face creams that claimed to make the skin fairer, but they didn't work.

After hearing insults and harsh comments about herself, Ishika became very sad. She was so distressed that she was diagnosed with severe depression.

The side effects of the medication made her gain weight. Instead of her sadness lessening, it increased because now, along with her dark skin, she had also become chubby.

Once, there was a family function at her house, and many relatives had come. Some of them looked at Ishika and told her and her mother:

"Now it will be even harder to find a groom because she's chubby too."

"No man will marry her."

"Even if you do get married, your husband will throw you out of the house because how you look."

"They like fair and slim women, and you are nowhere near that."

"You'll have to give three to four times more dowry."

Hearing all this, both Ishika and her mother became very upset. Ishika's mother started worrying about her.

Ishika stopped attending family functions.

She often felt sad, thinking that no man would ever love her.

(Present)

Ishika's heart pounded with each step as she followed Swara to the room, her thoughts a whirlwind of anxiety and anticipation.

It was her first night after the wedding, and the unknown loomed large before her. Swara's comforting presence and gentle words helped, but the weight of expectations and self-consciousness about her body made Ishika's heart feel heavy.

Ishika is scared because she doesn't know how Ujjwal will react when he sees her body, as she has dark skin and is a bit chubby.

She hears the sound of the door opening, and sweat begins to form on her palms. Ujjwal comes in and locks the door.

He sits on the bed. He lifts Ishika's veil, and as soon as he sees her, his facial expressions change, as if he feels disgusted by her appearance.

Without saying a word, he goes to the bathroom to freshen up. Afterward, he goes straight to bed.

Feeling uneasy, Ishika softly asks, "W-What happened? Don't you want to talk to me?"

Ujjwal shouts, "What should I even talk about? I felt disappointed when I saw you. Forget love, I don't even feel like looking at you."

Tears well up in Ishika's eyes. Her heart feels heavy, as if someone has placed a 10 kg stone on it.

Ujjwal says he feels trapped by marrying her. Then he turns away and falls asleep.

Ishika begins to sob heavily. Tears flow, blurring her vision.

Suddenly, Ishika wakes up and realizes it was all just a terrible dream. Exhausted, Ishika didn't realize when she fall asleep.

She feels a brief moment of relief, but she is still scared that this nightmare might come true.

The sound of the door opening interrupted her thoughts. Through the veil, she saw Ujjwal enter, placing something on the table before sitting beside her.
