With flushed cheeks and ears, my father and Vini glanced over at us, both clearly drunk in broad daylight.

“Come get your man, doll. He is already regaling me with corny jokes,” Dee-dee said with a frown.

“Just admit that you have a dry sense of humor, you don’t find my jokes funny, Dad,” Vini quipped, making me blinked hard at him at how he adressed my father.

Did he just call him Dad?

Nagkatinginan kaming dalawa ni Mumeee, siya na ngiting-ngiti samantalang ako naman ay hindi pa rin makapaniwala sa lahat ng ito.

Did Vini really call my father, Dad?

And Dee-dee was okay with that?

“Come on, Dal. Let’s stop them. It’s too early for them to get drunk. Ugh, your dad surely is the one behind this,” Mumeee said with a chuckle.

Hinila niya ako patungo sa kanila, siya na tumabi kay Dee-dee at pabirong pinanggigilan ang mga pisngi, ako naman ay hinila ni Vini sa baywang at saka niyakap, siya na humilig pa sa tiyan ko na parang isang pusang naglalambing.

“Stop right there! Not because we’re okay now does mean you can do that. No flirting with my daughter in front of me, alright? Or I’ll cut your dick and shove it in your ass,” Dee-dee warned Vini to which had me blushing to the roots of my hair.

“Dee!” saway ko.

He ignored me and intently looked at Vini instead, a threat in his stares. “Am I making myself clear?”

“Yes, Dad!” pagsaludo ni Vini. While I shook my head, watching them in his drunken stupor.

“You’re already drunk, Dallas. Tama na ‘yan. Ipagtitimpla ko na lang kayo ng tsaa,” presinta ni Mumeee at saka natatawang tinalikuran kami.

Mula sa kaniya ay nilingon ko si Vini na akma sanang sasalinan ‘yong baso niya ng panibagong alak nang pigilan ko siya.

“Enough!” saway ko at pinanlisikan siya ng mga mata.

Hiccuping, he quickly surrendered and even saluted his hands to me, saying, “Yes, Ma’am!”

“That’s right!” Dee-dee interjected. “You should always listen to my daughter. That’s the secret to a happy and peaceful life. We just have to be submissive to them. Always remember that we are nothing without them. Do you understand, son?” Dee-dee told Vini as he downed his Scotch, then looked at me. “You don’t love me anymore, doll. You are not stopping me from drinking. You only care about him now. You don’t care about daddy’s health anymore. This is why I don’t want boys in your life. They are taking you away from me,” he suddenly dramatized.

Nalaglag ang panga ko sa sinasabi at inaasta niya, hindi na talaga makapaniwala pa. I had not yet recovered from seeing them drinking and laughing together, and now this? They were addressing each other as son and dad?
