Friday, November 18th

Today was Friday, aka, the day of the party. I told Alex I would think about coming and I did. I decided not to go, those things were way too risky.

Alex and I had become really close lately. We texted a lot and he was actually a really nice guy. He always made me laugh and I really liked him, not romantically, but as a friend.

I was pretty happy Elijah introduced us.

Speaking of Eli, he finally stopped having temper tantrums about who knows what. I didn't know what it was about but we were back to normal, whatever normal is for people who had known each other for approximately three seconds.

After I took a shower, I put on jeans with a long sleeve white shirt, threw on some Timberlands, and let my hair dry. I ate some breakfast and drove to school, checking off my schedule as I did.

"Hey, Alex." I said as I saw him in the hallway of the school.

"Hey." He replied, leaning to give me a hug and a quick kiss on the cheek. I blushed a little, still not used to the gesture.

"Hey, Bella." Eli piped up.

"Hi." I replied and gave him a hug. I noticed how good he smelled, like laundry detergent with a trace of cologne. I liked it.

Elijah pulled away, "Did you decide if you're coming to the party tonight?"

"Ya, I don't think I will." I winced, hoping they wouldn't be upset.

"Oh, ok." Eli and Alex said at the same time. By the looks on their faces I could tell that they were slightly disappointed.

"Lily and Phoebe are going, you guys can have a good time with them." I pointed out trying to lift their spirits.

"Who's having a good time?" Phoebe asked with Lily on her tail.

"You guys are, at the party tonight, that I'm not going to." I explained

"Oh, right!"

Oh my gosh, she was an idiot.

"I'll see you guys later. I have to talk to a teacher before class." I dismissed them.

"Bye." I heard a chorus of voices behind me.

"What does this mean?" Eli asked pointing to a line in his book.

He was having a hard time reading Shakespeare which I didn't blame him for, it was really weird, all the thous and thee's.

"It's your work not mine."

Elijah huffed in annoyance, "Pleaasssee." He dragged out like a child.

"No, get back to work." I scolded him.

Suddenly, he leaned in close to me, his nose almost touching my cheek. I turned and realized how close he actually was.

This was new.

I looked into his eyes for a moment then flickered my gaze to his lips. I wonder what would happen if I leaned in a little bit more...
