"Yoooo Harper hurry up!" Lily calls after me from the lunch table.
I roll my eyes at her impatient comment but speed up my walk anyways. I swear she's actually a five year old incarnate.
"I'm coming, I'm coming. What's so important that you wouldn't let me walk slow, like a normal person?" I respond while juggling with my lunch and binder in my arms, trying not to drop them onto the filthy floor.
"Sit sit, this is big news." Jenna pipes in. I look around the rest of the table to see both Aidan and Cam with food shoved in their faces but still nodding their heads in agreement to Jenna.
"There's another party next Friday and you have to come." Lily explains with her usual level of exuberance.
I simply roll my eyes and sit down next to Aidan while setting my things down. "You know how I feel about parties. I've made a couple exceptions for actually celebrating something but going just to get drunk and stupid? Ya, I'll pass."
"Actually it's to celebrate college acceptances." Cam says with food in his mouth making it barely decipherable.
"That's what she's saying but we all know it's just an excuse to throw a party." Jenna laughs.
Lily nods her head at this, "I'm not complaining though. I love me a good party."
I laugh to myself and sit back to listen to them banter.
"Oh trust me, me to, I just think that she throws parties all the time. I mean, how many parties have you been to that aren't thrown by her. I think she's become obsessed with partying." Jenna says causing Cam to laugh a little too hard.
"Who else would throw them though? I mean they're legendary." Aidan adds in.
Lily snorts, "Ten bucks says even though the parties are at her house, she doesn't actually throw them and her little boy minions do."
"Boy minions?" Aidan questions her, his eyebrow raising.
"Ya, like Ryan Rogers and all his boneheaded friends that are head over heels for her." She elaborates.
"We're the boneheaded friends." Cam glares at Lily and Jenna giggles at the action.
"The other ones you bonehead." Lily retorts. A smile breaks out on my face but then I realize I have no clue who this conversation is about.
"Wait hold up, who're we talking about?" I lean forward a little and feel Aidan stiffen next to me.
"Makayla Lamberton. Even you have only been to a couple parties, yet they were all thrown by her or boy minion Ryan. I mean, just think about it..." Lily says in a duh tone.
Seconds after Lily's revelation, Aidan's head hangs down to focus on his lap. I guess I should've realized that it was her. Why is Aidan being so weird about it though? When we barely knew each other he told me about her like it was no big deal. In fact, the part of the conversation that was actually about her lasted approximately .2 seconds.
Maybe it just reminds him of girlfriends and Selena came to his mind. Except, why would he be upset about that? Sure they're exes, but Selena hasn't really bothered any of us since the break up and their relationship wasn't too serious. It feels like ages ago.
