"Noah? I have no ide-" I stop mid sentence. Noah, the guy from the fast food place... "He's just some guy from a fast food place. The night you went to the party I got bored so I went to get food and he was there." I explain.
Aidan looks furious, "Why did he give you his number?" He says louder this time.
"He thought I was cute. It's no big deal okay."
"No big deal? You're mine, not his." He fumes.
"We weren't even dating then. Plus, I never even called him! You can throw that away if you want I don't care." I scoff. Why is he being like this?
"Why didn't you just throw the receipt away? Why'd you keep it?"
Seriously, this is so stupid. "Because I had other things on my mind! Like the fact that we were going on a date the next day. I didn't even think to throw it away cause it's not important to me."
"You're mine Harper. Not his, mine."
I'm taken aback a bit, "Ok, let's get this straight, I don't belong to anyone. I'm not an object Aidan, okay? I'm a human being with emotions." I'm shouting by now and I hate it. I take a deep breath and close my eyes. "I think you should leave." I state as calmly as I can. He needs to chill out, and maybe I do also...
Aidan's eyes soften immediately at my words. "Harper, I'm sorry, I didn't mean it like tha-"
"I don't wanna hear it, Aidan. Just leave please." I cut him off. I'm done with this.
Aidan nods his head solemnly and gathers his stuff. I stand looking at my feet and playing with my fingers. He heads out my door and I hear it slam. I wince slightly and fall onto my more than comfortable bed.
Why is he so upset? I never even called the guy. It's not my fault he found me attractive. I didn't even ask for his number. And how could he say that 'I'm his'? What the hell is that supposed to mean? That he bought me at the store? That I'm some kind of object?
"Ughh!" I scream, letting out a frustrated groan. I sit up so I'm criss cross on my bed. I put my elbows on my knees and bring my head to my hands, running my fingers though my hair.
I'm an idiot. I should have never flirted with that guy, which I admit, I might have lead him on. I close my eyes and sigh. It's only 1:30 now so I don't have much to do. Maybe I'll take a nap.
Aidan's P.O.V.
I gather my things and walk out of the house. The door slams behind me, oh well.
I had no right to say that to her. She's right, she doesn't belong to me, but she should have known better. We were going on a date the next day! I guess I wasn't in the situation and maybe she didn't flirt with him, or maybe she did...
I get in my car and turn the key in the ignition.
That son of a bi-
Aidan, it's not him. Your girlfriend is just really f-ing beautiful. Gosh, I find a way to screw everything up. I have a right to be mad, don't I? Can't I be a little upset about this?
