Friday eventually rolled around, the weekend coming slower than usual. This whole week I had looked forward to the weekend, it was my relaxation period where I could hang out in sweats and a messy bun all day without being stressed about homework or grades or wearing a cute outfit or doing my hair.
I feel like I had needed that kind of stress free relaxation a little more this week as so many things had been going on with school and with Alex and Eli.
The weather had dropped dramatically this past week, becoming colder and colder as November came to an end and December approached. I would much rather it be warm, but with December comes Christmas, and no one could turn that down.
Thanksgiving was yesterday so we got school off the last two days, but for some reason they were making us come to school today, right before the weekend. Who the hell knows why, it didn't make sense to me either.
Despite the weird break schedule, Eli seemed to be in better spirits this week. He had a pep in his step and he was a lot more entertaining.
As if he wasn't before.
He had been joking around more and he always seemed to be ready to hug whoever he could get his hands on, which happened to be me the majority of the time.
Not that I was complaining...because I definitely was not complaining.
He gave amazing hugs.
Anyways, I figured his recent change of mood was a result of his break up with Makenzie. She wasn't there to whine to him all the time or make him do things he didn't want to. Needless to say, I thought it was great that they weren't dating anymore.
She just wasn't good for him.
"Bells, hurry up before we ditch you, you've been staring at your locker for like three minutes." Lily's all too blunt voice echoed through my thoughts, breaking them apart.
I shook my head and realized I had indeed just been standing in front of my locker for a while now.
"Sorry, sorry," I mumbled and quickly shuffled around in my locker and grabbed everything I needed for lunch.
I slammed the metal door closed, the unpleasant clanging sound making all of us cringe.
We all walked down the hallway, smiling at others as we go, and made our way to our lunch spot where we found Eli and Alex already waiting for us. Except they weren't alone, Ryan and Rem Rogers, the twins, had joined them.

I turned to look and Lily and Phoebe quizzically, but they looked just as confused as I did.
Why were the twins eating with us?
I glanced over at the baseball table where they usually sat, two tables over, but nothing seemed out of place except for the fact that they were over here instead of there.
