Sunday, December 4th

My wet hair cascades down my back as I take it out of the towel. I throw on black leggings and a grey and red Stanford sweatshirt. I'm happier now that Aidan and I have almost worked everything out. I don't think I realized before how stressful and exhausting it is to fight with people.

He should be over soon and we can talk things out.

Several minutes later, the doorbell rings and I go to answer it. Aidan stands there wearing grey joggers with a white t-shirt. His hair is still damp like mine and he looks refreshed.

"Come in." I say and gesture him inside. I walk towards the couch and sit cross legged and he does as well. We face each other and for a while that's all we do. Sit and stare.

"I'm sorry I overreacted, I let jealousy get the best of me. It was stupid and I'm sorry." Aidan says, being the first to speak.

"Me to, I probably did lead the guy on a little and that was wrong of me. I should have never let him think I was interested in a relationship with anyone other then you." I say and smile at him cheekily. His face mirrors mine as he pulls on a cheeky grin.

I uncross my legs and move towards him. I end up sitting between his legs with my back to his chest and his arms around my stomach. I relish in his presence and can't help but hope that it will never go away. Aidan rests his chin on my damp head and he brings my shirt up so he can trace patterns on my hip bones. His warm fingers soothe me and I feel myself drifting into sleep.

Aidan's P.O.V.

I hear Harpers breaths become longer and she relaxes into my body. I move my fingers from her hips and set them on her stomach. Her head falls to the side, right below my left shoulder. I take this time to look at her. Her brown hair cascades down her neck and back, small freckles litter her cheeks and nose. Her eyes are closed and I wish they were open so I could see the pools of green her eyelids are blocking. Her warm skin is pressed against mine where our bodies aren't covered. She looks calm and peaceful. Her light pink lips hold a small smile even in her sleep. I look away from her and lean my head back on a pillow. I struggle to open my eyes but eventually I stop trying and let sleep take over.

I wake up with my arms still around Harper. Her shirt has ridden up so my fingers are resting on her bare skin. I lift my head and glance at the clock on the wall. It's 4:30. I look down at Harper and take in her features before deciding to wake her up. I sit up and lightly shake her.

"Harper, wake up." She barley flinches and I think of a more creative way to wake her up. I carefully slide out from under her and straddle her without putting any of my weight on her. I smirk to myself before attacking her stomach with my fingers, tickling her. She moves around uncomfortably then starts squirming around. Her eyes flash open and she fights back.

"Aidan, s-stop! Plea-ase!" She screams. I laugh and continue.

Harper's P.O.V.

I feel fingers on my stomach and I move around on the couch. The fingers move faster and I find myself completely awake. I look up and see Aidan hovering over me with a wicked smile on his flawless face. I start fighting back, trying to grab his hands to stop him. My efforts don't work and I try talking.

"Aidan, s-stop! Plea-ase!" I beg. I start laughing uncontrollably and roll so I'm on my stomach. Aidan still gets the sides of my stomach and I speak again trying to convince him to stop.

"Stop! P-please!" My voice comes out weak and airy from the tickling. He continues his efforts and I squirm some more. I roll out from under him and land on the floor. Aidan's drug with me and I wait for the impact of his body to come. I flinch and I hear him land but his body never touches mine. I breathe out knowing that he stopped tickling me and that somehow I haven't been crushed by 175 pounds of Aidan.

"I hate you, so much." I say catching my breath and opening my eyes. Aidan's forearms are on either side of me and his knees are as well. His face is a mere two inches away from mine. "What was that for?"

"I needed to wake you up." He say matter of factly. I roll my eyes and he climbs off of me. He grabs my hand to help me off the floor and we sit back on the couch, face to face.

"What time is it?"

"4:45. I should probably go." He says frowning a bit.

"You don't have to. We can do something if you want." I say, silently hoping he will stay.

"I wish, but my brother Truman has a basketball game soon. I told my mom I would make it."

"That's okay, I'll see you at school then?"

"Ya of course."

Aidan and I climb off of the couch and he puts on his shoes by the door. He turns around before he leaves and hugs me with his arms around my shoulders. I wrap my arms around his waist and take a deep breath. It feels great to be in his arms. I pull away and give him a lingering kiss on the cheek.

"Bye." I say, my voice barely above a whisper.

"Goodbye." He whispers. I smile and Aidan opens the door, letting in the coldness from outside. The door closes and I smile to myself before walking up to my room to watch Netflix.
