These past two weeks with Aidan have been great. He took me on another date. It was a simple dinner and a movie, cheesy, but we had a good time.
I've spent some more girl time with Jenna and Lily. We've been hanging out and ranting to each other about boys. Apparently Jenna has a thing for Cameron, but he's a huge player. He has yet to find out she likes him but I'm going to make it happen. It's a little risky but if it does happen, Cam knows I would kill him if he hurt her.
Anyways, today is Christmas Eve and I couldn't be more excited! Emma's getting into town around 3pm and its 12 now. Tomorrow, after my family opens presents and we spend time together, I'm going to Aidan's so we can give each other our presents.
We set up our tree last week and decorated it with ornaments Emma and I made when we were little. My mom insisted on having some actual ornaments on, so we let her make the tree prettier and Christmasy.
The ground outside is covered in white snow. It's cold and dreary but the feeling is homey and cozy.
Right now I'm in my bed with soft pajamas on and hot chocolate in my hands. I have soft Christmas music in the background while I read The Giver. That's one of my little traditions I do around break.
Every year during Christmas break I read it. One year in middle school we were assigned to read it over break and I loved it so much that I read it the next year, and the next. When the movie came out I had to see it. I loved it so much that that next year for Christmas, I asked for the movie. I got it and then after I finished the book, the movie was on repeat for the rest of the week.
Today is just a relaxing and chill day. When Emma gets here is when we start all the traditions like reading the Nativity, writing our wish-list to Santa, yes we still do that, hanging our stockings, and other little things we do as a family. For now, I can finish reading The Giver.

The door bell rings through the house and I snap my head up from my book to look at the time, 3:14, Emma's here!
I set my book on my bed and make sure I don't lose my spot before stampeding down the stairs to greet Emma. I open the door and see Emma standing in the cold with a nervous look on her face. I wonder why but decide not to ask her yet and pull her into a bear hug.
"I missed you so much Em." I say truthfully.
"I missed you to Harps." Emma hugs me back.
I pull away, "I'll help you with your bags." I offer and go to the drive way. I go around a corner and bump into a cold, hard, body with bags in their hands. Surprised, I look up and see a man about 6 foot 2 inches. His hair is blonde and he has hazel eyes. He has a strong build with defined muscles. He's very attractive.
"Oh, sorry, um who are you?" I ask, trying to be as polite as possible.
"Oh sorry, I'm Jake, I'm Emma's boyfriend." He says and flashes his perfect smile complete with perfect teeth. He drops a bag to shake my hand and I take it hesitantly. My eyes get wide and I fight the urge to let my jaw drop. Emma comes around the corner and sees Jake and I.
"Oh, Jake, I see you met my sister Harper. Harper, this is Jake, my boyfriend. Mom and dad said it would be okay if he joined us for Christmas this year." Emma explains.
