The reflection of my hesitant blue eyes stared back at me in the tall mirror, as I smoothed my hand down over my baggy jeans and released a shaky breath. I was well and truly terrified about what I was about to do next.

I reached out for my phone and switched it on, the screen flashing alive before my eyes and showing me the much dreaded time that was about to arrive; ten minutes until six.

Once again, I started to rethink about what I was about to do but the battered and beaten image of my bestfriend pushed the thoughts at the back of my mind. The quickening of my pulse seemed to increase with each possible 'what-ifs' that clouded my thoughts, dreading the unforgiving consequences.

I shook my head lightly to get rid of the extreme possibilities, shoving down yet another notes of thousand dollars inside my bra. Elliott gave this cash to me a few weeks ago, claiming I should shop more things online. That saved up money is definitely paying off now.

The paper that was attached behind Ace's collar had a number of instructions, each one written in Greek carefully. Levi was smart, I have to admit that. Even though he wrote the words in Greek, they were still extremely discreet and code type-of. He didn't use the crucial words directly, but rather wrote them in a code we made up few years ago. I still can't believe he still remembers the stupid words we used to make up for fun.

My phone went crashing down on the floor and I almost jumped out of my skin when the loud timer of my phone went off. Calming my racing heart, I bent down and pick up the device, throwing it over the bed and watching it bounce a few times. I won't make the mistake of carrying that phone while escaping anymore. That thing had a tracker set inside it's system. It is the main reason why Elliott was able to catch me last time.

My gaze fell over to the crouched figure of the grey furry being, who was sound asleep on the bed with a blanket draped over his stomach. I leaned over and kissed the top of his head gently, caressing his dark fur. Is it bad that I pray internally that we never meet again? If so, I am going to apologise to him. Ace was my one and only support system here, the only reason why I used to laugh and smile because of. Seeing him for the last time really hurts a lot.

"I am sorry." I mumbled, wrapping my arms around him in a hug when my eyes watered the slightest bit. God, I am so emotional. "I love you, Ace"

The click of my watch broke me out of my goodbye session, as I lifted him down on the bed and gulped down the lump in my throat. It was time.

Glancing behind my shoulder, I take one last look at the room which witnessed the worst days of my life. Everything felt weird, almost like a dream. Will I succeed this time? This question kept swarming my head. I prayed with my everything that I can run away. I cannot live with the man who is unfortunately my husband.
