The four walls of the basement witnessed all that happened within the cruel darkness of the night. All the blood-shed, violence, cries, screams and bullets that echoed through the night recreated a new reality for a certain someone, who was yet to accept it all.

From dusk till dawn, it was nothing but absolute doomsday for the pair of friends. They begged and pleaded for mercy desperately, only to get turned down everytime by the green-eyed crime syndicate's boss. Isn't it tragic how by the end of the night not one, but two lives left this world for someone's crazy obsession?

This single appalling question was circling around in the raven haired girl's head, as she remained huddled in the furthest corner of the darkened dungeon. The crippled, reddened walls seemed to forcibly close up on her, suffocating her with it's despair and anguish.

The metallic tang of blood hung heavily and evidently in the air, acting like a reminiscent of the unbearable loss she just suffered. Her clothes were soaked in the scarlet red liquid, now drying up against her body like a second layer of skin. The air-conditioner of the tortuous place was freezing her senses, making her press her back against the concrete wall while trembling.

For someone whose bestfriend just got cold-bloodedly killed before their eyes, she was relatively and concerningly calm. Atleast that is what it seemed like when you took one glance at her. But if you look closely, the tears streaming down her dull eyes were quite heart-wrenching to witness.

She couldn't move, couldn't breathe, couldn't think or even bring herself to blink. The heavy weight of guilt and grief pressed down on her like a painfully strong physical force, pinning her down on the cold and unforgiving stained floor of the basement.

The silence was depressingly deafening, only broken by the occasional sniffles that escaped her. She felt like she was drowning in a sea of remorse, trying to fight her way out of the sorrowful waves that threatened to wash over her and pull her underneath them.

But it wasn't worth it. From her point of view, nothing is and was going to be worth it from now on. The emptiness and shallowness in her mind was scaring her, but she didn't care enough to fix it. She couldn't care enough to do anything, not anymore atleast.

A deep and quiet sob erupted from her, as she pressed her forehead against her bare knees and shook tremendously with the overwhelming presence of the other two unalived beings present in the room.

His eyes.

His lifeless eyes were drilling straight into her pitiful form, even though they had lost all forms of life. She dig her fingernails into her skin, trying to distract herself from the fact that there were two dead bodies present with her.

Although, there was a slight difference. One was in one piece, while the other was dismembered into six whole pieces.

Right across her was sprawled out the body of the man with whom she shared a quite unfortunate moment with. It was that man, the employee of Elliott who harassed her and set her up infront of Elliott to break off their relationship. She never even imagined in her worst nightmare that they will meet under such grim circumstances.

His dismembered arms and legs were scattered around on a pool of crimson red blood. And the most gruesome part was his head. It was decapitated, entirely separated from his body with his hazel eyes still open.
