Days began to blur together during that first week in Harrismith. Archie and I would spend 3-4 hours per day working to complete the painting of the house and another 6 teaching, cleaning, and serving in various capacities. The days were long, but we loved every moment of it. The house project took over two weeks to complete but, God is good! All glory to God who strengthens me. Our bodies may be sore and bruised but, our hearts are full.

Our paintings look like works of art. The exterior walls are adorned with a kaleidoscope of colors, each hue carefully chosen to represent the warmth of family and the divine presence of God. Geometric shapes and lines dance across the walls, forming intricate patterns that symbolize unity and strength. Triangles, circles, and squares intertwine, creating a harmonious design that reflects both stability and creativity. Bright yellows and deep blues symbolize joy and tranquility, while rich reds and greens convey love and growth. The windows, framed in contrasting colors, allow sunlight to filter through, casting playful shadows that seem to bring the artwork to life.

Each corner of the house showcases a different motif—some featuring symbols of faith, like doves and crosses, while others celebrate family ties with interlocking shapes that represent connection and support. As you approach, the house radiates a sense of community and belonging, inviting all who pass by to appreciate the beauty of diversity and the importance of faith and family in everyday life. It stands not just as a residence, but as a vibrant testament to the love and values that bind us together.

I'm incredibly proud of the work we accomplished here. As a token of appreciation for our hard work and dedication, Pastor Mike honored Archie and me with the task of renaming the big house.

After hours of prayer and reflection, we have decided to name the house; "indlu eyakhiwa nguNkulunkulu" when translated from Zulu to English means; The House That God Built.
