Her family hadn't always been so broken.

They had been happy once,

Mom, Dad, Stephanie , Ashley...and Alison.

Stephanie had always been a pain, so she wasn't going to waste her time talking about her.

Alison was ten seconds older than her, and she never let Ashley forget it.

Ally was the loud one, and Ash was the smart one.

She remembered the sleepovers.

She remembered the way her family couldn't wait to know how her day had been at the dinner table each night.

For ten years, it was perfect.

Then Ally got sick.

She would sleep all day, and leave Ash to play alone.

Ash was too young, too young to understand what was going on.

She just wanted her play buddy back.

She didn't understand why Ally got to stop going to school.

She didn't understand why Ally cut off all her hair.

Ally would still smile when Ash came to see her after school.

She would still watch cartoons with her.

Even if she fell asleep during the funniest parts.

Even if Ash was left laughing alone.

Ally seemed to get better, until one day, she didn't.

One day, just like that, she was gone.

Ashley was alone.

After that, her mother killed herself.

After that, her dad became a drunkard. 

After that, Ash built a fence around her heart.

She hated her sister for leaving her, even if it wasn't her choice.

She hated her mother even more, because she had a choice.

She hated her dad the most. She felt his pain, she felt it all over her body. 

Again.

And again.

And again.

Sometimes she wondered why she was the one left alive.

Okay so maybe this chapter is a bit of a downer (*cough cough* understatement *cough cough*)

AND ASHIEE SORRYNOTSORRY FOR KILLING YOUR CHARACTER OFF. I WOVE YOU <3 GUYS GO CHECK HER OUT (IN THE MOST PLATONIC WAY LOL). SHE WILL MAKE YOU LAUGH SO MUCH YOU WILL POOP YOUR SOCKS OFF.
