Sophie fumbles with her swipe card trying to unlock the guest suite, she is nervous with Alpha Knox looming behind her. His large hand encloses around hers as he takes the swipe card from her and unlocks the door.

"Wait here a moment" he commands.

From the doorway she watches him do a sweep of the room. He goes to the windows, checking the locks are secure. Picking up various objects, such as the bedside lamps and alarm clock, he turns them over and appears to be looking for something. He checks under the tables, chairs and even under her bed. Sophie is aware that Knox is an expert in security and surveillance, and she is a little bemused that he feels the need to sweep her room with such vigilance. She is just a Luna after all, it's not like she's a visiting queen for crying out loud.

She takes the opportunity to appraise the wolf while he's too busy to notice her staring. Like Alpha Knight, he is a tall, around 6'4" height, with a very muscular physique; he undoubtedly trains hard every day. He has light brown hair and a short, trimmed beard, which gives him a ruggedly handsome appearance. It is easy to see his blue blood lineage. Sophie feels her wolf stirring, which is unusual, there is something about this male that has her inner beast peeking out.

"The bedroom is clear, you may enter the room. I will check your bathroom now" says the Alpha as he strides towards her ensuite.

He didn't even say two words to her throughout dinner, and every time she glanced his way she caught him staring at her, no not staring, it was more like glaring at her. She could sense he was extremely uncomfortable being near her. That's why she was so surprised he insisted on escorting her to her room. After dinner had finished, Alpha Atlas had requested a private meeting with Gamma Christie, as they needed to go over tomorrow's training schedule. Beta Jaxon had kindly offered to escort the luna back to the VIP suite, in place of Christie, but Knox had insisted he should be the one to do it. She had seen Jaxon glance over at Alpha Knight for instructions, Caden had simply nodded at his Beta to let Knox have his way. But she couldn't help but notice Caden looking at Knox, with a knowing smirk – she wondered what that look meant.

"Your bathroom is clear, I'll leave you to rest now" says Alpha Knox as he emerges from the ensuite. His eyes are swirling gold, his wolf has surfaced, and he seems to be standing even more rigid than he was at dinner. It's obvious he doesn't like being around her.

"Thank you for checking my room, but I hardly think it was necessary. Please don't feel the need to trouble yourself again like this" says Sophie with her head held high. Why was he bothering, when he clearly doesn't like her? He should have just allowed the beta to escort her and be done with it.

"Oh? You think security is a waste of time? You have clearly lived a very sheltered life indeed, princess" he says the word 'princess' with sneer "you may be a pampered princess at Silver Moon, but you are not there now. Trust me when I say you must never underestimate your enemies. The CBC are still at large, and you of all people should know, that they will stop at nothing to capture a Luna".

Sophie is taken aback, why did he say that? Of course she knows, first hand, what the CBC are capable of, she doesn't need to be reminded of what they have done to her.

"You don't need to worry about the CBC coming for me. I assure you they will not harm me" says Sophie as she casts her eyes downwards, trying hard to hide the look of pain in them. Of course they won't harm me, not when Jacob sold them our son!

Suddenly her jaw is being grasped by Knox's strong hand, he forces her head back up to look at him.

"Never look away from me when we speak!" he commands "what do you mean they will never harm you? I lost my mate and infant female pup to the CBC, never assume they will not harm you!"
