Chapter 63 - Operation Blueblood

"So that's where the little brat has been! All this time, hiding right under our noses!" Beta Mark sneers. Alpha Roberts and his Beta are in his office, listening to the audio recordings from last night, that Trevor sent through to them.

Jacob's head is reeling at what he has just uncovered. Lily is Alpha Knight's true mate, not Delta Ava. Jacob had been so convinced that Ava was Caden's mate. He knew they were sleeping together, he practically caught them in the act, so he presumed Caden was disguising his Luna as his Delta to hide her from the CBC. For reasons unknown Caden rejected Lily after mating with her and claimed Ava in death. With the aid of Sophie, Lily ran away and reinvented herself as Luna Rose, mate to Alpha Atlas.

But all this information is inconsequential, compares to the biggest revelation of all. What has Jacob trembling with excitement at hearing, is that Xavier is Caden's pup, a blue blood. A fucking true born Alpha blue blood pup, right under their noses! Nothing could be rarer in this world or more valuable! This was the game changer Jacob needed to finally get Caspian back, and to piece his family back together. Once Caspian was home, Sophie would be so overjoyed, all would be forgiven, and she would fall in love with him again. To finally have his mate and son back and be free of the CBC! Xavier was the answer he had been searching for.

He knew Derrick, the powerful head of the CBC, would agree to exchange Xavier for Caspian. Derrick had said it himself, any blue blood would do, he had wanted Knight or Knox, but Xavier was even better. In a way they already had Knight in their stable, but Derrick had been growing increasingly dissatisfied with dealing with the stubborn Alpha. Caden always ruthlessly negotiates with the CBC every time he donates. He only donates sporadically on his terms, never enough to satisfy the CBC demand. He also drives a hard bargain with each drop of his blood, ensuring most of the profits were coming his way and not going into the CBC pockets. Derrick wanted a blue blood he could control. Xavier would be perfect, he could raise the boy, just like he had done with Caspian, brain washing him into believing he was saving the werewolf population by working for the CBC.

Jacob stood up and began to pace his office. He knew Sophie was only staying one more night at Redwood. They needed to act fast, while Trevor was still safely behind Redwood territory, posing as Sophie's loyal guard. Nobody would suspect the young solider of being a spy. This would be their one and only chance to kidnap the pup.

"Put a call into the CBC, I want to speak to Derrick immediately. Tell him it's urgent!"  commands Jacob to his beta "tell him operation blueblood is in motion. He'll know what it's about". Yes, 'Operation Blueblood' was a go! After all these years, Alpha Jacob Roberts was finally going to make his move, and what a king move he was making! He was going to set the whole fucking world on fire and watch it burn!
