After the argument between them, Arnav started coming to the office before Khushi woke up and went home after confirming that she slept. He couldn't take her assumptions towards him when he himself was unaware of his own feelings. When Shalini asked Arnav why he wasn't taking Khushi along, he told her that he had meetings outdoors and couldn't look after Khushi.
Even though Shalini wasn't convinced with the answer, she kept quiet.
He was sitting in his cabin and working on his laptop when Aman entered inside. He goes to Arnav.
Aman - Arnie...
Arnav - Ha Aman.
Aman - Come, let's have lunch, yaar. It's already 2 pm.
Arnav - Give me a second Aman.
Saying he sends the mail and closes the laptop. Both of them go down to the cafeteria to have lunch, along with Lavanya.
Lavanya - Jiju, can I ask you something?
Arnav - Yes, Lavanya. What's the matter?
Lavanya - Is everything okay between you and Khushi?
Arnav's frowns hearing Lavanya.
Lavanya, looking at his frowned face - I know this is your personal matter, and I shouldn't be involved. But I'm worried about Khushi. Why isn't she coming to the office?
Arnav looks at her - Didn't you ask your friend?
Lavanya sighes - I've asked her, she told me that she doesn't want to leave aunty all alone at house. And hence she isn't coming to the office.
Arnav - You got the answer. What else do you want?
Aman just keeps observing Arnav and his answers.
Lavanya - I just want her to be happy. She already had a heartbreak. I don't want to it to repeat it again.
Arnav gets up - If someone wants happiness in their lives, they should notice the happiness surrounded around them. They should try to own the happiness that is trying to reach the doors of their broken heart. They should notice the efforts of the people who are making their best to make them happy. People who are blind folded with a cloth of heartbreak should remove it and look at the happiness that is being surrounded around them.
Saying he walks away from there, fuming. Aman and Lavanya just keep looking in his direction.
Khushi was coming back from Garima's house to Shantivan in an auto. Shalini told her that the driver would drop her in the car. But Khushi refused it and told her she would be fine going in an auto. Shalini convinced her a lot, but Khushi refused to go in the car.
Khushi sees an ice cream parlor in between and gets down to have an ice cream, as it's been so long. Eating ice cream, she forgets all the problems of her life. Crossing the road, she goes to the parlor and gets an ice cream. Meanwhile, a palm from behind pats her shoulder, and she turns back.
In the evening -
Arnav comes back home at 10 o clock, assuming that Khushi would've slept already. But he is shocked to see Khushi standing in the middle of the hall with tears rolling down her eyes and Anjali in front of her fuming in anger. Nikhil is beside Shalini, who is standing helplessly.
Anjali shouts - Answer me.
Khushi with a trembling voice - Di. I don't know anything. What happened is....
Anjali - You don't know anything. You want me to believe it.
Shalini - There must be some misunderstanding, Anjali.
