Wives Day Out

Well after the Mission, Monami and Sanju's bond had grown stronger.

Now that Sanju had come to Shergill Mansion with Sid as he wanted to meet Monami but was caught up with Col.Vijay and Zui as they wanted to hear Monami's childhood stories. Sanju took the opportunity and sneaked into Monami's favourite corner of the house.

It was the Nursery that she and Karan had lovingly set up.

Sanju slowly walked towards the Nursery and smiled  looking at Monami.

Monami was sitting on the nearby chair and was admiring the room.

It felt as if coming to the room,calmed her hyperactive neurons .

Also she noticed that Monami's belly bump had grown larger ,as she remembered last time she saw it was slightly smaller.

Monami sat on the chair with her headphones on listening to some soothing music that worked as a magic and helped her relax.

She was sure the Tiny human growing inside too would have calmed down and would have slept .

Sanju went and stood beside Monami and placed her hand on Monami's shoulder.

Monami quickly opened here eyes and was happy seeing Sanju she got up and hugged Sanju who too hugged her back.

Sanju then helped Monami was out as they went to hall.

Seeing everyone engrossed listening to Sid.

The duo decided that today they would spend time together alone away from all the worldly affairs.

They announced their decision to everyone present and everyone nodded.

Monami packed a small bag for herself as she needed to carry some do her essentials while Sanju helped Monami.

The duo set out, Sanju driving her car while Monami sat on the passenger seat beside her.

Monami looked around and grinned as she saw Sanju drive the car towards the woods.

Nature is a place that feels like home and for Monami it had always been Nature that sooth her pain and calm her.

The duo stopped at the nearby  Parking slot.

And they walked a  few meters where a Gazebo was standing tall.

They sat inside and admired the beauty of the woods.

For others ,this might seem silly but when one looks at Nature in depth they can actually feel a strange happiness and peace.

For Sanju the Woods was an escape from the reality of the harsh life.

Being a Commando wasn't easy as everyday,there would be new challenges and each challenge would be more difficult than the other.

Also she knew that Commandos life has it's own risks and she never knew when her time would come to bid farewell to the world.

She closed her eyes and tried to relax her mind as she felt the soft breeze kissing her face.

Monami stood by admiring the different trees and shrubs.

Since her childhood Monami had a fascination for plants.
She enjoyed being surrounded not the greens and the woods as they distracted her mind and also gave her a few moments of Happiness.

The only place before marrying Karan where she could be who she was, happily smiling and cheerful.

A bubble of joy ran down in her as she enjoyed the daffodils that swayed gently dancing as the breeze blew.

The smell of the jasmine flowers was intoxicating like freshly prepared wine.

Looking at the tall gigantic trees that were proudly standing and the chirping of the various birds felt like nature's music to ears.

They stayed there for almost 2 hours and after sometime they left.

Sanju drove the car and they went to a small tiny Dhaba which did maintain good hygiene.

Both Monami and Sanju were not found of going and eating in fancy and huge restaurants,  they believe in simplicity and lived eating in tiny Dhabas.

They quickly ordered their favourite Amritsari Kulcha with Dahi and Achaar.

Soon the hot Kulchas were served .

The aroma of the Kulchas wafted through the air as they both looked at their plates. They quickly started eating the Kulchas served and relished the meal.

After sometime they went to a small as Monami needed to buy a few clothes.

Her clothes were now not fitting her and she wanted some loose clothes as she felt uncomfortable wearing tight clothes.

It almost suffocated her.
As soon as they entered the Mall,right at the centre they saw an icecream stall.

They both screamed ICECREAMM and the others who were shopping stopped for a second hearing the duo scream.

The duo were a little embarrassed but then didn't care and quickly walked towards the stall.

They stood as they were deciding which flavour to eat.

Monami decided to have berry blast,which had Strawberry,blueberry and cranberry flavours while Sanju decided to have dry fruit ice cream as it looked creamy and delicious.

Their mouth watered as they stood giggling at their respective desserts.

As soon as they took their first bite they could feel the ice cream melt and all the flavours were uniformly absorbed on their tongue but the coldness gave them a tingling sensation.

After sometime, they left towards the Women's section where Monami bought a few loose shorts and tops and Sanju bought a few Kurtis.

Time passed by,and the sun had started setting ,the duo decided to head towards the beach and have a glimpse of the sunset before heading back home as they would up for their day.

Looking at the sunset and the sky coloured in A myriad of colours....red,orange,slightly yellow and purple pink.

As they saw the sun dip down, their hearts felt a content of peace and joy away from the monotonous routine of being wives, daughters and daughter in laws, they had forgotten their true selves.

This day out thus, made their hearts flutter with joy and made then realize that they too are individuals and they too should enjoy.

Meanwhile Karan and Sid had started worrying pacing to and fro in the living room as their wives had not yet returned .

As soon as they heard Sanju's car horn the duo rushed out and smiled relaxingly as they saw the ladies getting down with beautiful smiles plastered on their faces.

Karan and Sid ran and helped them carry their bags while Karan held the bags in one hand and supported Monami with his other hand the couples walked towards their home and the night fell by drawing curtain to the day indicating the end of the day .
