Monami had entered the last month of pregnancy.
Everyone were alert as they knew that she was in a delicate stage where the Labour pains could begin at any time.
Experiencing the false alarms, from the start of 8th month had made her even more alert.
Karan ,now stayed at home and did all the paper work from home as he knew Monami needed him the most during this period.
It was a fine Sunday, Monami was sitting on the sofa and was munching in fritters.
Coco was sitting beside her and trying to chew the bone she was given.
All of a sudden, Monami felt a sudden sharp pain in her abdomen, she felt something wet and was shocked seeing that her water broke.
She started screaming in pain ,Karan and others quickly came.
Sid quickly removed the car and Karan carried Monami and quickly sat behind.
Sid drove the car fast while Monami's pain had started Karan panic.
Soon they reached the Hospital and Monami was quickly taken to the OT.
Karan placed around the OT ,worry clearly visible on his face.
Janhavi, Zui, Col Vijay, Sanju, Koel ,Faizi,Barkha, Nikhil, Saumya, Col Batra and Mrs Batra all went near the OT.
Everyone stood still when they heard a shrill cry.
It was the Little One's cry indicating she has joined them .
The Doctor came out carrying the most delicate being in her hands.
She handed over the tiny being to Karan and congratulated him.
Doctor: Congratulations Mr Shergill, aapko beti hui hain!
Karan smiled and looked at the most beautiful creation of his life whom he held.
She looked at him with her hazel doe shaped eyes and he looked at her with all the love and affection he had.
He decided he would protect his daughter at all costs.
Monami was shifted to the Normal Ward as she had gotten unconscious because of the pain.
Everyone held the tiny tot and were overwhelmed looking at the cute being who looked at them softly.
Karan then took her and went to the ward.
He saw Monami was sleeping. He kissed her forehead and then placed his daughter in the cradle.
Zui had prepared a mixture of honey and curd and quickly asked Karan to feed his daughter that as it was considered to be very auspicious.
Karan nodded, he dipped his Little finger in the bowl containing the mixture and then placed it in his Angel's mouth.
His little girl , licked it and smiled showing that she loved it very much.
Monami woke up a while later and saw Karan carrying their little one and walking to and fro trying to make her sleep.
Monami weakly said : Karan
Karan quickly went to her and gave the Little one to her Mother.
Monami had tears of joy in her eyes as she saw the delicate being in her hands.
She never knew why Motherhood held a special place ,but today after holding her child she understood that it is the most beautiful phase.
She made a silent promise to herself that come what may, she would not let anyone use her daughter as a trophy .
She would fight against the entire world for her daughter and she would never let he daughter be a puppet.
Looking at her Mumma, The little one smiled .
She then started crying ,and Monami realized that her Baby was hungry.
She asked Karan to lock the door and draw the curtains.
She then started breastfeeding the Little being while Karan sat looking away .
Monami smiled at his behaviour and once the Little one had finished she made her burp.
After her meal,the little one was tired and slept soundly while the others then came and sat admiring the newest member of the family.
Sid was overjoyed and couldn't contain his happiness .
He hugged Monami and thanked her for a million times as now he became a Mamu.
Sid : Thank you so much Moti Billi, mujhe Choti Billi dene ke liye.
Ab main Maamu ban gaya aur haan ab main apni bhaanji ko itna saara pamper karunga.
Monami chuckled at his excitement.
Nikhil and Saumya were the most excited as now they had a new member to their gang.
Someone with whom they would play a lot and would also protect her.
Nikhil: Monu Chachi, ab main big brother hoon na.
Toh main apni choti tadpole ke saath apne saare toys aur secrets share karunga aur jab woh mere saath school mein aayegi toh main usko protect karunga aur lunch hum saath mein khayenge.
Monami smiled and asked Nikhil to come and sit next to her.
Nikhil did what his Chachi asked him to do, Monami then helped Nikhil carry the Little one.
Nikhil was more than happy, he looked at his sister who was sleeping happily .
She had a cute button like nose, her ears,eyes,hands and feet were tiny.
Koel and Faizi too stood by him as he admired his sister.
Nikhil: Chachi woh mujhe Rakhi pehenayegi na?
Monami: Of course baccha ,woh aapko har Raksha Bandhan mein Rakhi pehenayegi!
Nikhil smiled while Koel and Faizi stood by admiring their little grown up boy who now became a big protective brother.
Janhavi was overwhelmed as now she became a granny.
She had always seen many kids come with their grandparents and never knew how it felt like to be one.
Today when she held her granddaughter for the first time, her happiness knew no bounds.
She decided that she would be her friend and companion she would tell her tales of the faraway places and people.
She would be a part of her mischief but would be her shield in front of her parents .
She would buy her chocolates and toffees and would take her to all the parks in the neighbourhood.
She would pamper her to no extent and would encourage her granddaughter to tell her about her crushes .
