Gulf was checking his student's final paper when he noticed the time on his watch-it was 10 p.m. Exhausted, he was relieved that everything was finally done. Tomorrow was a holiday, so he could finally get some rest.

As Gulf walked to his room, he noticed that the light in the kitchen was still on. He approached and saw a sight that made him realize how fortunate he was to be alive. Leaning against the wall, he crossed his arms and watched as the love of his life mixed eggs and flour in a bowl.

He stood there for a full minute until his boyfriend noticed him and looked up.

"P! You scared me," his boyfriend exclaimed, clutching his chest.

"Sorry, Ja. I was just enjoying the view," Gulf said, coming up behind Ja and hugging him.

"You should go to sleep, P. It's late," Ja said with a smile, kissing Gulf on the temple.

"You should too," Gulf replied, closing his eyes.

"I was preparing the dough so it can rest overnight. Tomorrow, I'll just need to bake it," Ja explained, turning around to hug Gulf around the waist.

"What's the occasion?" Gulf asked, resting his head on Ja's chest.

"Can't I spoil my boyfriend? It's one of his rare holidays," Ja said, kissing Gulf on the head.

Gulf smiled at this, feeling his fatigue melt away in Ja's arms. He wished he could stay there forever.

"P, it's late. You should go to sleep," Ja reminded him gently.

"I can't sleep without you," Gulf pouted.

"P, you've grown up. Of course you can. I'll join you after finishing everything," Ja reassured him, kissing Gulf on the lips.

Gulf wanted to linger longer, enjoying the comfort and letting go of all his tiredness, but he didn't want to burden Ja. He nodded and headed to their bedroom.

Morning arrived, and Gulf sat on the bed, waiting as Ja had asked him to stay put.

"Breakfast specially made for my baby," Ja announced, placing a small tray on the bed and kissing Gulf on the cheek.

"I'm older than you. How can I still be your baby?" Gulf teased.

"Hush, let me have my moment," Ja replied, making Gulf laugh. He cupped Ja's cheek and kissed him on the lips after thanking him.

They sat together on the bed, discussing everything about their lives. It was Gulf's precious holiday, so they made the most of it.

The day passed quickly, and soon Gulf was ready to leave for work. First, he cooked breakfast for both of them, then packed a lunchbox for Ja. Ja loved his lunchboxes and always shared them on social media. Ja came down, hugged Gulf from behind, kissed him a few times, then went to the dining table to have his breakfast.

"When do you think you'll be done today, Ja?" Gulf asked, placing the lunchbox on the table.

"I'm not sure. I might be late today, P. It's the first day for the interns, and my boss wants everyone there to introduce themselves," Ja sighed, wishing he could return home quickly to his beloved.

Gulf smiled at Ja's pout and kissed him on the lips. He assured Ja that he would wait for him and pamper him as much as he wanted. Ja brightened at this promise, hugging Gulf tightly and showering kisses on his nose, forehead, cheeks, and finally his lips.

"That's why you're the best, P. I love you so much," Gulf replied with a smile.

At that moment, Gulf felt like the happiest man in the world. He never imagined someone could love him so deeply.

Gulf arrived at his school by bus. He works as a teacher at a small primary school. Ja is the director of Nattawut Company, his father's company. Gulf had always wanted to be a teacher, but he wanted to start small so he started at a small school. He hoped to move to a larger one by next year.

"Good morning, teacher," greeted all the students as Gulf began his day. Teaching helped him feel less anxious, and he believed he would be ready for a bigger school when his contract ended at the year's end.

Gulf never mentioned his plans to Ja, wanting it to be a surprise. Ja supported his decision to work at a school that paid less. Ja had grown up in a wealthy family as the only son but expressed a desire not to live in his father's house, so they were saving to buy their own home.

After school, Gulf decided to share the news with Ja during dinner and went grocery shopping.

"Gulf, you were here too?" Gulf turned and saw his best friend, Bright.

"Bright, what are you doing here?" Gulf smiled.

Bright explained he had just finished a meeting and was grocery shopping for the week.

"I see," Gulf commented. They chatted, and Bright offered Gulf a ride home. Gulf initially hesitated, knowing Ja could be jealous, but Bright insisted, promising to explain if Ja became upset.

When they arrived home, Gulf was surprised to see Ja stepping out of his car as well. Ja saw Gulf exiting Bright's car and walked straight to him, taking the groceries from Gulf and heading into their apartment without a word.

"Ja, is something wrong? Are you upset?" Gulf asked as they walked.

Ja remained silent until they reached their apartment. When Ja headed straight for the door, Gulf stopped him.

"What's wrong, Ja?" Gulf asked.

"I'll be late. Don't wait up for me," Ja replied abruptly before leaving the apartment.

In that moment, Gulf felt confused and lonely.
