The week dragged on as Gulf stayed at home, resting. Bright offered to go out together a few times, but Gulf declined, wanting to respect Ja's request.

On their anniversary, Gulf waited for a surprise or even a call, but it was quiet. He checked the drawer but found no box. Maybe Ja had simply forgotten due to being busy.

"Maybe I should entertain myself," Gulf sighed, deciding to go to their favorite restaurant—the place where Ja had first confessed his feelings.

As Gulf entered the restaurant, he was hit by a wave of nostalgia. He missed coming here with Ja but tried to make the best of it.

He turned a corner but then quickly hid behind the wall, closing his eyes, hoping what he saw wasn't true. Taking a deep breath, he looked again, and the scene before him was shocking. He stayed hidden, trying to figure out what to do.

"I have something for you, baby," a familiar voice said, making Gulf's eyes well up with tears.

Ja was sitting there with someone who looked very familiar. Gulf watched as Ja pulled out a small box and showed it to the person.

"Baby, I know I might have left you alone these past weeks, but it wasn't my intention. That's why I bought you this, so you're reminded every time that I love you with all my heart. Happy 3rd anniversary, my baby First," Ja said, smiling and kissing First on the forehead.

"First?" Gulf's jaw dropped. He couldn't believe what he was seeing. Was this real?

"Oh my God, Ja! I love it so much!" First exclaimed. Ja stood up, placed the ring on First's finger, and then handed him a bouquet of purple freesia.

"And I couldn't forget your favorite flower in your favorite color. It's also a flower that reminds me of you since it starts with F, just like your name, babe," Ja said, kissing First on the lips.

Gulf clutched his chest and hid behind the wall again. He tried hard not to confront the couple, staying hidden to hear more.

"Aww, thank you. This reminds me so much of the day you confessed. We met again after a few years, and I thought I'd lost you when I saw you with Gulf that day," First said, quickly wiping his tears and kissing Ja on the cheek.

"Baby, I told you, P'Gulf was indeed my boyfriend that day, but I still loved you all these years. When I saw you again, all I could think of was how beautiful you are. You are my only baby," Ja said, holding First's hand.

"I thought you were mad at me when you weren't answering my calls these days," First said, hugging Ja and hiding his face in Ja's chest.

"Baby, how could I forget you? After work, I would always meet you, silencing my phone so I could be with you. But I still remember when we were together in my apartment that day, you purposely hid my phone in the drawer so I could spend more time with you," Ja chuckled.

"Ja..." Gulf's tears began to fall. He couldn't handle it anymore. He turned and left the restaurant.

It was raining heavily, but Gulf didn't care. He was stunned by what he had just seen. The flowers, the ring, the nickname—they were all meant for someone else. Ja even brought First to their apartment.

Gulf walked in the heavy rain for almost an hour, not caring how cold he was. He shakily tried to call Ja repeatedly. Though he didn't know why he wanted to call Ja, it was all he could think of. When his calls went unanswered, Gulf broke down in tears, feeling his breath become unsteady. Before he could collapse, someone caught him, though he couldn't see who it was.

"Gulf? Are you okay? Stay with me, dear," a voice said.

"Ja, there you are," Gulf said with a smile as he spotted his crush at the canteen. He held out a lunchbox and grinned widely.

"What's this, P?" Ja asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Your lunchbox. I made everything myself," Gulf said, hopeful Ja would accept it. Ja hesitated but then noticed someone and smiled. He took the lunchbox from Gulf and went over to greet the other person.

"Nong First, have you had your lunch?" Ja asked, approaching First. Gulf watched as Ja and First chatted, with Ja handing his lunchbox to First.

"You know Ja likes someone else. Why do you still want to chase him?" Bright asked, appearing from the side and sighing at his best friend's persistence.

"I know, but he's still technically available. I'm not giving up," Gulf replied with a confident smile.

---

Gulf and Ja were enjoying a meal at their favorite restaurant when someone approached.

"P'Ja? Long time no see," Gulf turned around and saw First. Ja looked surprised but stood up to talk with First. After their conversation, First excused himself, and Ja sat back down.

"P?" Ja noticed the discomfort on Gulf's face and reached out to hold his hand. "Don't worry. I don't have any feelings for him anymore. Besides, it's our third anniversary. I won't let you be sad on this special day," Ja said, kissing Gulf's hand.

---

Gulf slowly opened his eyes and realized he was in the hospital again. He sat up and saw Bright at the door, who looked surprised to see Gulf awake. Bright informed Gulf that he tried to call Ja, but it went unanswered. Suddenly, Bright saw tears falling from Gulf's cheeks.

"Gulf? What's wrong?" Bright quickly embraced Gulf. Gulf sobbed uncontrollably, and Bright stayed silent, rubbing his back.

After a few minutes, Gulf looked up, his face disheveled and red. Bright was shocked by his state.

"Bright...take me away from here, please. I can't take it anymore. Please...take me far away from here," Gulf pleaded in a hoarse voice.
