"You don't love me, Ja. You love the way I spoil you and treat you like a king. I don't care what you said about Khun Kao—his feelings are genuine." Gulf tried to leave again, but Ja kept following him.

"Genuine? If he were genuine, he'd have thrown me out for making you cry. But here we are. I'm still his son and will inherit his business," Ja smirked, trying to plant doubts in Gulf's mind.

Gulf clenched his fists. He was done listening to Ja's taunts so he left without a word.

"Remember, Gulf. If my dad really love you, he'd abandon everything to be with you. But he doesn't! You don't deserve him!" Ja shouted as Gulf's motorcycle sped away.

Gulf drove home, trying to drown out Ja's words. He knew Ja's accusations were false, but deep down, he felt insecure. Kao was handsome, kind, wealthy, mature—everything one could wish for in a partner. Why would he choose his son's ex-boyfriend, who keeps pushing him away?

"No, I need to stop thinking about this," Gulf muttered as he parked his motorcycle at a bus stop, his eyes welling with tears. He needed to calm down before he could focus on driving.

Gulf considered calling Kao after remembering Ja's words but, he had never called Kao before because of his fear. He decided to make the call, and Kao answered almost immediately.

"Is today my lucky day? I never thought you'd call me first," Kao's teasing smile was evident in his voice, and it relieved Gulf.

Gulf smiled at hearing Kao's voice, forgetting to respond for a few moments. Kao began to worry.

"Are you okay? Do you need help? I'll—" Kao started to get his keys, but Gulf stopped him.

"No! I just...wanted to call you. Nothing happened," Gulf said, blushing at the urgency in Kao's voice.

"That's good to hear, but since I have my keys, I'll come over now. Let's have dinner together," Kao offered, heading to his car.

Gulf accepted the offer and was finally able to calm down, riding home safely.

Kao hurried into the lobby, eager to see Gulf. He told his assistant to cleared all his appointments afterward and he expects no call from work.

"Dad!" A voice interrupted him, and he turned around.

"Ja," Kao greeted his son with a smile.

Ja had done terrible things to Gulf, but Kao couldn't bring himself to hate Ja since he was his son. He wondered if Gulf could accept that Ja might be his son too if their relationship continued.

"Dad, I need you to come with me," Ja said, looking worried.

"What's wrong, son?" Kao checked Ja for any injuries but found none.

"It's the customer. They're demanding to see you, claiming that you've cheated them. If you don't come, they'll jump from the roof," Ja said urgently.

"I'm on my way to something important," Kao replied firmly. He was sure this issue could be handled without his direct involvement.

"Dad, what's more important than your business? You've built this for years. Please, Dad," Ja begged, hoping to change his father's mind.

"You can handle this problem yourself, Ja. If you want to inherit the business, you need to know how to manage these situations," Kao said, turning to leave. Ja stopped him.

"Should I know how to handle P'Gulf too?" Ja smirked but quickly hid his smile when Kao turned around.

"What did you say?" Kao raised an eyebrow, anger flaring at the mention of Gulf's name.

Ja said nothing, turning away with a smirk before heading toward the rooftop. Kao, shocked, followed him.

"Ja, stop right there!" Kao raised his voice, but Ja continued walking. When they arrived, Kao saw a female customer crying and yelling his name. He recognized her as a regular customer and the daughter of a director.

"What are you doing?!" Kao shouted, startling the woman. She immediately ran to him, hugging him tightly while shivering. Kao tried to pull away, but she held on.

"Get this woman off me!" Kao ordered his bodyguards, who quickly separated the woman from him.

Kao decided to leave, but the woman's father arrived, apologizing and requesting a discussion before any action was taken. Kao wanted to leave but was surrounded by other directors demanding he resolve the issue to prevent media exposure.

"Please stay, dad. If you don't, it will left a bad image for our company. I heard some reporters are coming this way" Ja begged.

———

Gulf sat on the sofa after cooking, waiting for Kao, who was later than expected. Suddenly, he received a text.

"If he loves you, he wouldn't be hugging another woman now." It was from an unknown number, accompanied by a photo of Kao and the woman embracing on the rooftop.

Gulf dropped his phone and paced the living room, his heart aching. He knew he should trust Kao, but insecurity gnawed at him.

"Kao is different, Gulf," he tried to reassure himself, though tears filled his eyes.

Unable to contain his emotions, Gulf went outside to calm down, keeping his phone in case Kao called. An hour late, Kao finally called as Gulf walked across the road.

"Hello?" Gulf's voice was hoarse as he tried to sound normal.

"Gulf, I'm sorry, but I think I won't be able to come—" Kao started.

Gulf was focused on the call and didn't notice a car approaching.
