Gulf was eating in peace but felt a bit distracted by someone staring at him. He set down his spoon and fork, causing Kao to raise an eyebrow.

"Do you not like the food? Should I complain to the chef?" Kao started to turn around to find a waiter, but Gulf stopped him.

"The food is fine; it's just your staring that's making me self-conscious," Gulf said, taking a sip of his drink. Kao chuckled at how cute Gulf looked.

"You're self-conscious? I think everyone in this restaurant, even in this mall, should be self-conscious when they see you," Kao said with a smile, leaving Gulf wide-eyed.

"You..." Gulf couldn't find the words and continued eating. Kao noticed the blush on Gulf's face, making him look like a cute, blushing baby. Kao only started eating after nearly ten minutes of admiring Gulf.

After a while, Gulf and Kao talked about work. Kao cracked jokes, making Gulf laugh, and occasionally said sweet things that made Gulf blush. They stayed at the mall until 6 p.m., when Gulf decided it was time to head home for dinner.

"Are you sure you don't want to have dinner with me?" Kao asked, sounding disappointed. Gulf noticed Kao's slight pout and chuckled; the older man was cuter than he had realized.

"I prefer homemade dinner. Plus, I can save some money," Gulf shrugged. He liked eating at home so he could go to bed right after.

"But you don't need to worry about money with me," Kao said, trying to persuade Gulf.

After a few more minutes of trying to convince Gulf, Kao reluctantly gave up. He didn't want to overstep any boundaries and decided to take things slowly. As Kao walked to his car, he received a text about an impromptu meeting. He was about to reply when Gulf stopped him.

Feeling guilty, Gulf offered, "Would you like to come inside? I...I can cook for both of us." He bit his lower lip, trying to hide his nervousness.

Kao's eyes widened in surprise. He smiled brightly and nodded vigorously. Gulf chuckled and led Kao to his apartment. Kao texted his assistant to handle the meeting and let him know he wouldn't be attending. He had something more important than work right now.

Gulf asked Kao to sit while he freshened up. Meanwhile, Kao couldn't stay still in Gulf's penthouse; he wandered around, observing every detail as if he wanted to take notes. Then Kao received a call from his assistant.

"Sir, I recommend you come to the office. There's an argument about the stocks, and no one can find a solution," the assistant said, sounding worried. Kao was about to respond when Gulf emerged from the room, looking refreshed.

Kao gulped, mesmerized by how good Gulf looked after his shower. He imagined how Gulf must smell and wished he could see this view every morning. Kao was captivated by Gulf's appearance in pajamas. He stay silent for a few minutes, admiring Gulf's beauty.

"Sir? Sir!" The assistant's voice snapped Kao out of his daze.

"Oh, I'll check it tomorrow. I have something more important right now. I expect no more calls from work," Kao said abruptly, hanging up the call and causing Gulf to raise an eyebrow.

"Are you in a hurry? We can cancel tonight if you're busy," Gulf said softly, not wanting to be a burden.

"No! It's nothing. Just a minor issue," Kao said quickly. He didn't want to cancel their evening together. He had longed to be this close to Gulf and wasn't about to let the opportunity slip away.

"Okay, then. I'll start preparing our dinner," Gulf said, heading to the kitchen.

The evening was filled with Kao watching Gulf cook, and Gulf reminding Kao not to disturb him. Kao couldn't stop smiling throughout the night, though he reluctantly left when it was time to go. He wished he could stay longer, but they weren't at that stage yet.

———

After finishing his class and tidying up, Gulf texted Kao that he was on his way home.

Since that day, Kao had been texting Gulf every day. At first, Gulf felt awkward texting Kao, but after a week, he was comfortable initiating conversations. He knew Kao would always reply promptly.

"Gulf, I'm here," a voice from behind surprised Gulf. He turned around to see Bright waiting for him. They had planned to have dinner together to catch up.

"Where are we going?" Gulf asked, continuing to text Kao as he walked to the car. He had told Kao he would be having dinner with Bright, and Kao wished him a nice dinner.

"I want to try the new restaurant. They say the food is great," Bright said as they drove. Gulf was focused on his phone, texting Kao. Bright noticed the smile on Gulf's face and realized that someone had brought out this softer side of him.

Bright decided not to press the issue and waited for Gulf to share more about the person who had brought this true personality out.

As they arrived at the restaurant, someone called out to Gulf. Gulf and Bright turned around and Gulf could felt his hands getting cold seeing the person.

"P'Gulf?" The person came to Gulf and looked surprised seeing Gulf's new look. Gulf has a fierce look with dyed hair but he still look pretty.

"Ja" Gulf whispered.
