"Thank you, Sir," the students said as they thanked Gulf on their way back. Gulf smiled and nodded before returning to his office.
Gulf leaned back in his chair, trying to catch a few minutes of sleep. He had been at the university for only a week, but it felt like a year. He was so busy that he often forgot to eat lunch, but lately, he always found food in front of his office. At first, he wanted to inform the dean, but one day he caught a student leaving the food. Naturally, Gulf thought it was from his students and gladly accepted it.
Tomorrow was the weekend, and Gulf had the day off. He decided to buy groceries and some clothes but didn't want to go alone. He thought about calling Bright but remembered that Bright was on a business trip.
"Guess I'll be going alone," Gulf sighed as he walked to the main gate.
"Where are you going, Gulf?" the dean called out, surprising him.
Gulf turned around and explained that he would be going to the mall tomorrow and hated going alone. He then asked the dean why he was at the main gate.
"Oh, I'm waiting for our investor. He decided to join our meeting, so I personally came to meet him," the dean smiled, though his nervousness was evident.
Gulf wanted to leave but, seeing the dean's anxiety, decided to accompany him. The dean gratefully accepted his company.
"There he is," the dean said. Two cars approached, but it seemed the second one was just for bodyguards. One of the bodyguards opened a door, and Gulf wished he hadn't offered to stay.
"Khun..." Gulf whispered, hoping to escape.
"Mr. Nattawut, welcome to our faculty," the dean bowed to Kao, and Gulf followed suit. Kao nodded, sparing a glance at Gulf. The dean then offered to bring Kao to his office, but Kao stopped him.
"Actually, I was hoping to look around first to see how much I need to invest in the faculty," Kao said.
"Of course, I'll lead the way," the dean offered.
"Actually, I was thinking Mr. Gulf could show me around. As a new lecturer, he might have fresh ideas on what needs improvement," Kao looked straight at Gulf, making him gulp.
Gulf tried to signal the dean to reject the offer, but the dean happily agreed. He told Gulf to bring Kao around and then to his office when they were done. Gulf wanted to refuse, but knowing Kao's influence, he could only nod. The dean left them alone.
"Take a rest," Kao directed his bodyguards. They nodded and left, leaving Gulf and Kao alone.
"Let's go, Sir," Gulf led the way, but noticed Kao wasn't moving.
"Sir?" Gulf called again.
"Who are you calling 'Sir'? As I recall, you used to call me something else," Kao teased with a smile. Gulf took a deep breath.
"It's you, Sir. You're the investor for our faculty. Calling you by another name would be inappropriate," Gulf maintained his smile. Kao looked at him for a few seconds before nodding.
"Fine. Lead the way, Mr. Gulf," Kao smiled, though it didn't reach his eyes.
Gulf led Kao around, explaining his ideas for improvements. Although he had only been there a week, he was observant and focused on the students' needs. Kao followed in silence, occasionally making a comment but mostly watching Gulf.
"And that's it. I'll take you to the dean's office now, Sir," Gulf said, turning a corner when a student bumped into him, causing him to stumble.
"Watch out," Kao quickly opened his arms, but Gulf regained his balance and avoided falling.
Gulf advised the student to be more careful. Kao folded his arms again and walked behind Gulf. As they reached the office, Kao stopped him.
"I see you've become stronger. Two years ago, you would have fallen right into my arms," Kao smiled.
"Well, I learned that you can only depend on yourself. No one lasts forever," Gulf said, bowing before heading home.
The next morning, Gulf dressed in a white shirt, a white overshirt, and jeans. Two years ago, he only wore sweatshirts or T-shirts with tracksuits, but he had changed his style under Bright's mentorship. He put on a right earring and glasses. When he opened a drawer, he saw a bracelet for a few seconds before closing it.

"I wonder if this goes well together," Gulf pondered in front of the sauces shelf. Nearby, three women and two men were eyeing him. His beauty was evident under the lights.
Gulf turned around and saw two guys approaching. He tried to ignored them but they keep showing up in front of him. The women saw the scene and tried to approached Gulf too. However, Gulf quickly walk away from them.
"What is wrong with them?" Gulf furrowed his eyebrow, continue to shop when someone approached him again.
"Excuse me, I saw you from over there and had to say you're very attractive," the elder man said, licking his lips and eyeing Gulf up and down. Gulf furrowed his eyebrows and was about to respond, but someone interrupted. The person hold Gulf's waist and pulled Gulf towards him.
"Here you are, dear. I was looking for you." Kao showed up, smiling towards Gulf. Gulf was truly shocked seeing the man was so close to him.
"Who are you?" Tha elder man raised his voice at Kao's sudden presence.
"I am this lovely man's boyfriend. And I will not hesitate to beat you for staring at my dear with those disgusting eyes"
