Gulf turned around, wishing he had left earlier. The students bowed to their investor and agreed to leave Gulf in Kao's hands. They then left them both alone.

"Shall we, Gulf?" Kao smiled, offering him a ride.

"Actually, I think I should go by myself, sir," Gulf replied with a forced smile, trying to hide his headache.

"I know you're hiding your headache, but you can't fool me, Gulf," Kao said, crossing his arms.

"Fine. If I can't drive, then I'll ask Bright to pick me up," Gulf said, pretending to call Bright. However, Bright was on a business trip and couldn't pick him up.

"Bright is on a business trip. Don't you think I, as his company investor, should know about his whereabouts?" Kao raised an eyebrow, making Gulf sigh. He couldn't come up with any more excuses.

Seeing Gulf was giving up, Kao told him to stay put while he retrieved his car. Gulf nodded, knowing he had no other option. During the ride, Gulf felt his head growing heavier but tried to hide it.

"Take a rest. I'll wake you when we arrive," Kao said, his eyes still on the road. Gulf wanted to protest, but his heavy eyelids closed, and he fell asleep immediately. Kao glanced at Gulf and smiled.

Not long after, Gulf was awoken by voices outside. He sat up, realizing they had arrived at his building. Kao was outside the car, talking on the phone. Gulf looked down and saw that Kao's suit was draped over him. He checked the time and realized he had been sleeping for nearly an hour; his home was only 15 minutes from the university. Gulf got out of the car and waited for Kao to finish his call.

"I think it's better if we change the venue. The benefits for the occasion are more social than profitable," Kao said, leaning against the car and focusing on the call while taking in the scenery.

Gulf remembered Kao's work demeanor from the past. He still looked charismatic, with a strong yet gentle presence. Kao's tone was very different when he was in work mode—strict and commanding, making people bow to him. But two years ago, Kao's tone had been gentle, and his smile bright.

Kao noticed Gulf had woken up and was daydreaming. He immediately hung up and turned his attention to Gulf.

"Is something wrong?" Kao asked, approaching Gulf with a gentle tone and a smile.

Gulf gulped. This situation felt too familiar, and he needed to distance himself before his emotions took over.

"Why didn't you wake me up, sir?" Gulf handed back Kao's suit as he finished his call.

"You looked like you needed some rest, so I didn't want to disturb you," Kao said, taking his coat and smiling.

"You shouldn't have done that, sir. It makes me feel like a burden," Gulf replied, thanking Kao before turning away.

"Please..." Kao said, stopping Gulf in his tracks.

"Is there something else, sir?" Gulf asked, keeping a straight face, which shattered Kao's heart.

"Please don't shut me out of your life, Gulf. Just tell me what makes you uncomfortable, and I'll fix it," Kao said, his eyes a little teary. Gulf was surprised; he hadn't expected Kao to be in this state considering his maturity.

Gulf clenched his fists, trying to keep his heart from wavering. He had made a promise to himself, and he intended to keep it.

"If you want to know what makes me uncomfortable, it's you. You make me uncomfortable because you're the father of someone who broke my heart into pieces, leaving me forever changed. I was suffering, and I won't put myself in that situation again. So if you want me to be happy, stay away from me!" Gulf exclaimed, walking back to his home.

Once inside, Gulf collapsed in the hallway. The tears he had been holding back finally fell. He clutched his chest, feeling a deep pain.

"I'm sorry, Khun... It's the only way to make you stay away from me. I don't want to ruin your happiness. You deserve better than me," Gulf cried, desperately trying not to run back to Kao and confess his feelings.

Kao sat in his car, stunned by Gulf's outburst, trying to process everything. Suddenly, he felt tears on his cheeks and a pang in his chest. The man he had saved two years ago was not the same person now, and it hurt Kao deeply, knowing he was part of the reason for Gulf's pain.

Back in his room, Kao opened a drawer and pulled out a box. He took out a black bracelet and held it in his hands.

"Mae, look! Someone is crying!" Kao heard a little boy's voice, likely referring to him.

Today, Kao had discovered that his girlfriend only loved him for his money. When he decided to start a new company instead of inheriting his father's, she left him. All his friends said he had no good qualities except his family's money. All Kao wanted was someone to love and someone who loved him—a life full of love.

"Here, P!" a child said, offering Kao the black bracelet.

"Go away," Kao said, turning his face to the side, not wanting to be disturbed.

"It's my favorite bracelet!" the child said, placing the bracelet in Kao's hand. Kao looked up and saw the boy smiling brightly at him.

"Why are you giving it to me?" Kao sniffled.

"The bracelet is supposed to bring you luck! My mom said with this bracelet, you can do anything and be happy your whole life!" the child said with a smile.

"I don't have anything to give you," Kao said, watching the boy struggle to put the bracelet on his wrist.

"It's okay. Maybe next time, you can buy a new one for me when I'm sad! Remember, my favorite colors are black and white!"
