Kao stayed with Gulf in silence for the entire day, afraid to reveal his identity. It was nighttime, and Kao had just finished his work when Gulf reached for the nightstand.

"Urghhh," Gulf tried to reach the jug, but Kao immediately stopped his hand and poured the drink himself.

"Bright? What are you doing here? I thought you left hours ago," Gulf said, slowly sitting up and taking the water handed to him.

Some water spilled from his mouth, and Kao wiped it with his handkerchief, causing Gulf to smile.

"Thank you," Gulf said, holding Kao's hand and smiling in the direction he thought Bright was.

Kao simply patted Gulf's hand in response, afraid Gulf would discover who he really was. After a few minutes, Gulf couldn't sleep and leaned against the wall, pouting. Kao noticed Gulf's discomfort and chuckled softly. He then went outside and returned with a tray of food.

"Is that food?" Gulf sniffed the air and looked around, trying to find the source.

Kao placed a small table by Gulf's bed and set the food on it. He intended to give Gulf the spoon but realized Gulf would have difficulty using it.

"Hmmm, I know what you're thinking. Could you help feed me?" Gulf said with a sad smile. He would have to learn to eat without vision now.

Kao nodded, even though Gulf couldn't see it. He scooped up some rice, blew on it, and fed Gulf. Gulf ate a few bites, and his face brightened.

"Pad Krao Pao? How did you know I was craving this?" Gulf asked with a genuine smile, his craving satisfied.

Kao continued feeding Gulf with a gentle smile. After eating, Gulf felt sleepy and rubbed his eyes. Kao helped him lie down and tucked him into bed. After a few minutes, Kao felt Gulf's breathing steady, indicating he had fallen asleep.

"Goodnight, dear," Kao said softly and kissed Gulf on the forehead.

Gulf slowly sat up after a good rest. He felt physically better, except for his eyes. However, he was coming to terms with the fact that he would never see the face he had always longed to see. The fact that Ja was the last person he saw before going blind affected him somewhat.

"No, I shouldn't think about it anymore," Gulf said, shaking his head to clear away the tears.

Gulf swung his legs over the side of the bed. He wanted to try walking without vision, as the doctor had advised.

"Let's do this," Gulf said, slowly standing up. He walked cautiously, extending his hands to avoid obstacles. He could feel a chair nearby, but when he reached for it again, it was gone.

"Maybe I should retrain my senses," Gulf said, dismissing the scene. He left his room and held tightly to the guidebar on the wall.

Gulf heard voices approaching and tried to stop himself, but the voices never came closer.

"I really thought I would bump into someone, but maybe I was in luck," Gulf smiled and continued walking.

Unbeknownst to Gulf, Kao had been there the entire time since he woke up. Kao silently removed any obstacles that could harm Gulf and warned others to move quietly to avoid bumping into him. He was anxious, afraid Gulf might hurt himself. He felt calmer when Gulf finally sat on a bench in the garden.

"Keep moving forward, dear. I will be behind you as long as you allow me to," Kao said, smiling, though the tears in his eyes betrayed his true feelings.

He wished he could sit next to Gulf, hold his hand, and express how much he missed him and loved him.

"Mr. Ja, come out please," Kao's assistant said in front of First's apartment.

The assistant had been waiting in the lobby for hours, having chased Ja to First's apartment. Despite continuous ringing and knocking, there was no answer.

"I should do something," the assistant said, pulling out his phone, but someone grabbed his hand to stop him.

"Mr. Bright, what are you doing here?" the assistant asked, furrowing his brow. How did Bright know where they were?

"If your plan is to call security, things could get worse. We don't know what Ja will do inside," Bright said, stopping the assistant.

"Then, tell me your plan, Sir," the assistant said, putting his phone away, but Bright still held onto his hand.

"This is my plan," Bright said, turning around to reveal First, who nodded in understanding.

"P'Ja... It's me," First said, knocking on the door. He then used a key card to enter the apartment.

First searched for Ja and found him holding his head in distress. First went to Ja and embraced him.

"First... I don't want to see them, I don't want to. I'm afraid they'll despise me when they see me," Ja said, hugging First tightly.

After nearly an hour, Ja calmed down. First held Ja's shoulders and gently delivered the news.

"P'Ja... There's something you should know... P'Gulf... He... He lost his vision permanently," First said, his tone bitter, making Ja's eyes widen in shock.

"No, no, no, you must be joking, right, First?" Ja shook his head. First remained silent, confirming the truth.

"No! You're lying! I know!" Ja pushed First away.

"If you don't believe me, you should go see him yourself," Bright said, crossing his arms.

Kao's assistant finally understood Bright's plan. However, he hoped Kao and Gulf would reconcile before Ja met with Gulf.

He wished their relationship would remain strong after all this.
