AS THE MINUTES ticked by, our conversation veered toward personal interests and passions.
"I never thought you would have an interest in dancing," Niki remarked, his gaze shifting to Hyein with genuine curiosity.
"It's all thanks to Jurin that I found my love for dancing," Hyein revealed with a soft smile, causing a ripple of surprise among us.
"Really?" Sunoo interjected, visibly taken aback by this revelation, considering my usually reserved demeanor contrasting with the vibrant world of dance.
"I used to have a thing for dancing, I don't like to dance anymore," I admitted with a gentle smile before Minji interjected playfully.
"Don't lie. I still catch you dancing after school when the dance room is free," Minji teased, earning a wide-eyed reaction from me as I hadn't realized I'd been caught in the act.
"I'd like to see your moves sometime," Jungwon smiled, prompting a sigh from me as I addressed the group.
"I'm more focused on my career goals now, not so much on dancing," I state.
"Booo, too serious," Hanni playfully protested, shaking her head with a thumbs down. "Dancing brings you joy, don't give it up," she encouraged with a warm smile.
"Enough about me, let's shine the spotlight on Hyein and Haerin's dance skills," I deflected, pointing towards the two talented girls.
"Haerin dances too?" Niki's eyes widened in surprise.
"I wouldn't be shocked if we all turned out to be secret dancers," Jay quipped, eliciting chuckles from the group.
"Wait, are you saying you dance too, Jay?" Hanni gasped, mirroring the astonishment shared by the rest of us.
"Yeah, a bit," Jay admitted sheepishly.
"Why didn't you tell me? We could have danced together!" Jake exclaimed, taken aback by Jay's revelation.
"You dance too, Jake?" the collective murmur of disbelief echoed through the group.
"Alright, raise your hand if you dance," Niki proposed, prompting everyone—except Jungwon and me—to raise their hands.
"Stop being different," Sunoo teased playfully. "I've caught you dancing before, Jungwon," he added, lifting Jungwon's arm with a playful grin.
"I don't dance much these days," Jungwon explained, but his hand remained raised.
"Same here," I chimed in.
Hanni playfully raised my hand. "It still counts if you used to dance," she pointed out.
"Wow, so we're all dancers and didn't even realize it," Jake mused, rubbing his chin thoughtfully as the revelation sunk in.
We just sat in silence as we took in the unexpected information before we all erupted into laughter.
