WITH JUNGWON'S strong arm encircled my waist, providing a steady anchor, we began to walk back towards the campsite.

The forest seemed to blur around us as my focus shifted to the overwhelming proximity between us. Each step was a delicate dance, synchronized to his pace, and my heart raced with a mixture of embarrassment and exhilaration.

I stole glances at Jungwon, observing the determination etched upon his face. His eyes were fixed on the path before us, ensuring that each step was stable and secure. His presence was a comforting reassurance, a steady force amidst the chaos of my thoughts.

Finally reaching the campsite, Jungwon gently guided me to a nearby log, allowing me to sit and rest. I gingerly removed my arm from his shoulder, feeling a sudden loss of his warmth. I glanced up at him, my expression still shocked.

"Why are you helping me?" I murmured, my voice tinged with confusion and a hint of self-consciousness. My eyes avoided direct contact as I watched him open up the first aid kit box.

"Just be grateful I am, don't question it," Jungwon replied, his tone laced with a touch of playfulness. He seemed to deflect the question, focusing instead on the task at hand. "Roll up your pants," he instructed, his voice gentle yet firm. I nodded, complying with his request.

Jungwon opened the first aid kit box, carefully selecting a piece of cloth and dampening it with water. With delicate precision, he placed the cool cloth onto my scraped knee, causing me to hiss in discomfort.

"I know, I know," Jungwon murmured sympathetically, his eyes filled with concern. He removed the cloth and repeated the process with my elbows, tending to each wound with care. As we reached the more serious part, Jungwon retrieved alcohol sheets from the kit, and my eyes widened with unease.

I quickly shook my head, refusing to use the alcohol. However, Jungwon's voice held a note of firmness as he explained, "If you don't do this, it'll get infected." Sensing the gravity of the situation, he lifted my leg, allowing it to rest on his thigh.

I bit the inside of my cheek, unsure if I was ready for the burning sensation of the alcohol. After a moment of hesitation, I spoke, my voice determined, "Hurry and do it." I shut my eyes, preparing myself for the inevitable pain.

Jungwon obliged, dampening a cloth with the alcohol solution before gently placing it on my wound. A quiet yelp escaped my lips before I quickly covered my mouth, biting my hand to stifle the pain.

"I know it hurts. You're doing so good," Jungwon reassured me, his voice soothing. He patted my good knee reassuringly as he began finishing up with the alcohol and moving on to my elbows. I hissed with each touch of the cloth, grateful for his steady presence.

"Done with the hard part," Jungwon declared, a hint of relief in his voice. He reached for the gauze pads and gauze rolls, carefully wrapping my wounds with precision and gentleness. His touch was firm yet tender, making me feel cared for and safe.

As he finished tending to my wounds, Jungwon retrieved a portable ice pack from the first aid kit. He popped it and shook it, making it cold before removing my shoe and placing the ice pack onto my swollen ankle.

"Keep this on your ankle. It seems to only be a sprain, so you should be okay tomorrow," Jungwon explained, his voice taking on a reassuring tone. I nodded in reply, giving him a nervous smile.

"Thanks," I muttered sheepishly, feeling a mix of gratitude and embarrassment.

"Don't mention it," Jungwon replied.

"Let's head back. Your friends are probably worried," he suggested a note of concern in his voice. I nodded, realizing that while my physical pain had been tended to, my friends were still waiting for my return. With Jungwon's support, I stood up from the log, feeling a renewed sense of strength and comfort.
