chapter 64: the young magic knight Captain

As the next match in the first round of the royal knights exam began, on one side of the battlefield stood Rill who was holding his hands in the air in the shape of a frame. He hummed while his teammates, one from the silver eagles and the other was from the crimson lions, watched him looking confused.

"Uh shouldn't we be going now?" The crimsons lions member asked.

"The match has started sir," the silver eagles member said.

"The sky looks beautiful today," Rill said as he began to explain the kind of white paint he could use to paint the clouds and a way to make paint for the sky, "Alright you two I'm going to create a beautiful blank canvas on this battlefield," he said as his grimoire floated in front of him and a paint board appeared next to him.

"Alright lets go," he said as a large puddle of different colors appeared under him and started flying him towards the direction of their opponents while he smiled. But a few moments later his teammates looked surprised as they saw the aqua deer captain stuck in vines.

"Oh come on this isn't fairy let me out of here," said Rill struggling to get free as he complained and waved his paint brush around.

"I almost feel bad about this," one of their opponents said who was a woman from the blue rose knights.

"Well he is a captain after all, so to make things right we shouldn't hold back," the man standing next to her said, a member of the green mantis squad. Then behind them standing on the top of a small building, their final teammate from the coral peacoks stretched his arms out with green vines stretching out of them. When they reached his teammates blue flowers appeared.

"Plant magic, magic pollen," he said as pollen came out of the flowers and covered them. The man from the green mantis had a red glow surrounding him and a blue glow surrounded the woman from the blue rose knights.

"Ill end this quick, Flame magic, flame spike" he said as large spike made out of flames shot towards Rill.

"Ice magic, ice shard," the woman from the blue rose knights said as ice shards shot towards Rill who didn't seemed worried about the situation he was in, instead he seemed amazed at the sight of the two spells.

"Their spells, they work so well together, do you see this Walt," Rill thought. Meanwhile on the stone stage Walter stared at the battle with a clam look on his face as he thought back to before Rill had joined the magic knights. Rill used to always get angry when he painted and because of his magic he ended up causing a lot of destruction to his home. The only one who went to see him was Walter and even though he was badly injured from Rills magic he still confronted him.

He convinced Rill that it was important to understand other people and suggested him joining the magic knights, saying it would be better for his painting. Rill agreed to it with a smile, "Master Rill you really have come so far and not just that you've also become the youngest person to be made a magic knight captain," he thought as Rill moved his paint plush against the paint board, red and blue splashing up.

"Ive made up my mind Walter, I want to show the world my masterpiece, but I want you to see it too," he said before pushing the paints forward, "Picture magic, twin spirals of water and fire," he said as a spiral of flames hit the ice spell and the water hit the flame spell, quickly beating them in combat which surprised their casters.

"The more creative he is, the more powerful his magic, truly he is one of the best people of house Boismortier," Walter thought smiling as the spirals hit their targets and covered the land around in them red, blue and green.

"Hmm I don't think you guys are ready to be a master peace just yet," Rill said smiling while the people on the stone stage looked surprised, while Julius stared at the sight amazed.

"Whoa," said Asta.

"He was able to use two different attributes at the same time," said Noelle looking surprised while Klaus pushed up his glasses.

"So this is the power of the captain of the aqua deer," he said. Then on the battlefield Rills teammate from the silver eagles cut through the vines with an ice sword and freed him.

"Whoa thanks," Rill said.

"Not at all sir, that spell was really something though I shouldn't be surprised," he said smiling while Rill laughed rubbing the back of his head.

Their last teammate from the crimson lions stood in front of their last opponent, "Sand stone magic, rock storm," he said as a tornado made out of stones shot at the man from the coral peacocks, sending him flying and destroying the crystal. The announcer declaring their victory.

"Hmm maybe I could have done things differently here, oh but this blue turned out great," Rill said admiring his art while his teammates looked confused by his attitude.

"Uh that match is over now," the man from the silver eagles said.

"Shouldn't we get going sir," said the man from the crimson lions as the announcer called for them to clear the field. The two magic knights looked at each other before they each grabbed one of Rills arms and began to pull him away.

"Wait no I still have to take a long at my art, no," he said trying to get them to let go. While back at the stage one of the teams taking part had Klaus and Luck.

"Great is it my turn now?" Luck asked.

"Yeah looks like your up now," said Asta smiling.

"Make sure do your best," Noelle said brushing back her hair.

"Oh I'm so excited, I cant wait to get out there, I'm ready to go," Luck said looking excited as he held up both of his fists when Klaus spoke up.

"Now Luck Voltia, please keep in mind that this test is here to measure your magic power for the royal knights," he said.

"Oh way to take the fund out of everything," Luck said making Klaus look annoyed.

"What was that," he said beginning to get annoyed at Luck while their third teammate, a woman from the blue rose knights whose hair was in buns, stared them looking shocked.

"These are my teammates, a reckless brat and snuffy four eyes, well ill just have to make it work," she thought stepping forward and stopping Klaus from getting more annoyed, "Now now lets try to get along, we are teammates after all," she said smiling.

"Whose this," Luck said.

"Puli Angel, rightfully name don't you thing," she said striking a pose.

"She just as reckless towards this as he is," Klaus thought while Luck laughed.

"Don't worry you got this sir spectacles," Asta said smiling.

"Good luck out there," Mimosa said.

"If you fail at this I'm never calling you sir again," Yuno said calmly.

"As disrespectful as ever," Klaus said before looking over at one of their opponents, "Though if there was one we had to worry about it would be the one who saids to be the most swift in his squad, Rob Vitesse," he said as he and Luck stared at a man from the silver eagles. The two two teams were then brought onto the field and then their match began.
