chapter 108: Asta talks with Patry

After Asta and Patry had been covered in anti magic. Asta saw nothing but darkness before he began to see images and hearing Patrys voice saying Hatred. "Whats going on, I must have been sucked into his memories or something," he said before holding his hands to his head, "Its so loud,".

He then looked confused when Patrys voice sounded calmer. "You were so focused on protecting them that you couldn't dodge me," he said as Asta began to see images of the wizard king bleeding and Patry using a light sword.

"That's because your, the wizard king," he said as Asta looked shocked at the images of Patry stabbing the sword into Julius.

"Wizard King," Asta said before he began to see different images. This one showing him the creature that had tricked the elfs and made Patry a dark elf.

"AHH," Asta yelled as he was moved further in.

But deeper into Patrys mind was a tall tree, where William was trapped in with his head sticking out. In front of him was Patry who looked like his original self. He was sitting on a chair looking shocked.

"What have I done, I did something Licht didn't even want, its all their fault, it's the humans fault," Patry said, "I knew they couldn't be trusted," he said before looking at William.

"But William understood me," he said before he thought of the humans at Lichts wedding, "No they can never understand me, they betrayed us, its all their fault," he thought angrily.

"That's right, its all the humans fault," Patry said before there was the sound footsteps from the dark.

"I knew I would eventually find you and it turns out your just about the same age as me, my names Asta," Asta said walking over smiling. But he looked angry.

"What are you doing here," Patry said looking surprised.

"So you failed and decided to hide all the way in here, you can't just decide to run away, not after everything you've done," Asta said as he walked closer, "Just because you got tricked that doesn't mean you get to give up,".

"Shut up, stay away," Patry said standing up as magic came off his body. "You can never understand what ive been through, what I feel, you filthy human," he said but Asta kept walking forward.

"Enough of this human crap, I told you my names Asta," he said before reaching Patry and grabbing the front of his robes, "How dare you kill the wizard king," he said before pushing him to the ground.

"He was a great man everyone respected, I wanted to be like him someday, we all did," Asta said, "Your saying you cant forgive me, well theres no way I can forgive you for what you've done, when you took over the magic knights a lot of people got hurt and just because you made one mistake you can fix you think you can just run away,".

"Not happening," he said while Patry just looked at him surprised.

"You cant give up, if anything you should try to be stopping that bad guy too, you may not have been chosen but you brought the elfs here, you did that," Asta said, "You should get up and fight,".

"What are you saying, I don't understand and I know your wrong," Patry said, "Leave me alone," he said before punching Asta in the face. But the anti magic user didn't react, instead he looked at Patry with a serious look on his face.

"I wasn't chosen either, but ive already made up my mind and I'm going to become the wizard king," Asta said, "I wont give up and I'm not going to give up on you either," he said looking determined while Patry looked surprised.

"He sounds just like him," Patry thought thinking of the human who wanted to make an understanding between the elfs and humans. Patrys eyes began to tear up as Asta helped him back up and he began to cry.
