A few days had passed since the battle ended. Fuegoleon who was once again the captain of the crimson lions was helping leading the repairs of the capital along with Nozel. Some of the people were even starting to smile again. Then one day the black bulls were handing out food made by Charmy out to the people.

"Hey everyone eat up, Charmys food will help you recover your magic in no time," Asta said as he handed out a bowls when someone in a robe walked over to him.

"Finally its you, your Asta from the black bulls, I heard you took part in the big battle," he said as he shook Astas hand, "Thank you for everything you've done," he said while Asta looked confused.

"Uh yeah sure, just who are you?" Asta asked.

"Oh Im sorry, Im a representative from the magic parliament," he said making Asta look surprised and Nero who was standing nearby look serious.

"That's the group the wizard king warned us about," he thought.

"We would very much like for you to tell us everything so we can have a clear picture of what happened," the man said before looking at Nero, "Miss we would very much like to hear from you as well,".

"Yeah Nero we gotta tell them everything," Asta said.

"You know this could be a trap right," Noelle said. Yami was standing nearby and had a serious look as he looked at the mage.

"Yeah but if we tell them everything Im sure they'll understand," Asta said.

"Great, then the two of you follow me," the mage said leading Asta and Nero away. Yami looked over at Charlotte who was wearing her Rosa disguise. She had arrived later then the others after instructing the blue rose knights to help with repairs. The two of them nodded at each other while Noelle had her right hand near her wand.

Asta and Noelle were lead to a large building. There was the symbol of a scale above the door, "The two of you can head inside," the mage said.

"Right lets go," Asta said looking serious and Nero nodded.

As they walked to the door, "Remember what the wizard king told us," Nero said.

"We got the elfs to listen so it cant be that hard," Asta said. But the two of them didn't notice that the mage had a smile on his face. When they walked in the two of them were immediately put in handcuffs.

"Handcuffs, their making us look like criminals," Asta said holding up his hands. They wre in a large room with rows of people above them. They were the kingdoms nobles. The two of them were now standing on a small round stand at the bottom of steps. The nobles didn't seem happy about them being there and were making complaints about their looks.

"This trial will now come to order, I the chairman of the magic parliament Domnatio Kira will be the judge," Domnatio said walking down the steps in front of Asta and Nero.

"We are here to judge Asta of the black bulls," he said.

"Looks like it was a trap after all," Nero said.

"I knew that ruckus was trouble from the start," Augustus said from the seat above the others.

"I couldn't agree more," Sekke said from behind the kings chair, "Looks like hes finally going to face the consequences," he thought smiling.

"How dare you do this after I let you join the royal knights," Augustus said looking annoyed.

"Asta of the black bulls, raised in a church in Hage village located in the forsaken realm, you're a commoner and I don't sense an ounce of magic from you," Domnatio said.

"The forsaken realm, filty commoner," the nobles watching said.

"Then theres this young woman," Domnatio said looking at Nero, "The kingdom has no record of her birth and those horns mean shes used forbidden magic," he said.

"These two claim that the recent disturbance was caused by a devil and lead to the control of the magic knights," he said.

"That's right, the magic knights were being controlled and its all because of," Asta said but was interrupted as the nobles started speaking up loudly.

"Can we really trust the words of a commoner, he may be a magic knight but he is a black bull, those horns are proof," the nobles said.

"Even after everything Julius has done, there is still prejudice and discrimination in the kingdom," Nero thought as Domnatio walked down to them.

"You need to listen to me," Asta said before Domnatio leaned down so only he could hear him.

"Ever since this trial began theres only been two options, either we convict you as a devil or make the magic knights pay for their sins," he said, "Its clear you cant abandon others, the scales show your nature and your easy to deal with,".

"A single commoner or the magic knights who protect this kingdom, its obvious which way the scales will tip," Domnatio said before standing up, "Where is this devil you spoke of,".

"I said we already defeated him and its thanks to Nero who worked really hard for a long time," Asta said.

"Everyone here says it was you two who spoke with the devil," Domnatio said looking calm.

"No I can explain the devil in my grimoire is," Asta said before Nero covered his mouth and had an annoyed look on her face.

"It doesn't matter what we say now, their just going to turn it against us," she thought.

"If there is no Devil then we will simply have to pass Judgment on the others," Domnatio said before pointing to the stand nearby. Then a mage brought out Marie who was in handcuffs.

"Marie," Asta said looking surprised like Nero to see her.

"Asta," she said.

"This is Marie Adlai, from the former house Adlai, she now lives in a church with orphans and her brother Gauche is an ex convict," Domnatio said, "We have evidence that during the battle she used her eye magic to injure she several of the magic knights,".

"Probably because she has a grudge against the nobles," he said.

"Stop making stuff up she didn't do any of that stuff on purpose," Asta said looking angry.

"True, if there really was a devil then she would have been manipulated," he said making Asta look shocked, "Since there is no proof all that's left is her crime," he said before pointing his hand at Marie. Then several mages with wands stood in front of Marie who looked scared.

"In the name of justice she will be judged," Domnatio said.

"Wait stop," Asta said as the mages pointed their wands at Marie.

"You are evil, quilty," Domnatio said as the mages prepared to fire their spells.

"Asta," Marie said before the spells fired. But then with quick speed a black hurricane formed around Marie, protecting her and destroying the spells.

"You monster," Asta said angrily and the nobles looked surprised by his appearance. He was in his dark form, he was holding the demon slayer sword in his right hand and had his left arm around Marie.

"You don't know what justice is," he said looking right at Domnatio who didn't look surprised by what had happened.

"And we wont try to understand a devil," he said.
