chapter 82: Darkness vs Roses

In the capital of the clover kingdom. Not long after shining bright light stopped. Fires could be seen all over the city. In an open area citizens looked at the city with worried looks on their faces. They could hear the sounds of battle and destruction.

"Whats happening to the capital," one of them said.

"So many spells clashing, where are the magic knights," one fo them said when the ground around them shook. Then the wall nearby was destroyed. When the smoke cleared they saw the captain of the black bulls facing green thorns with roses in them.

Yami looked back at the people, "What are you all doing get out of here," he said. "If you don't ill make you," he said looking annoyed. They all looked afraid before running away and Yami looked back at the thorns.

"Let the buildings get destroyed, as long as the people live the nation will survive," he thought looking serious. He then looked towards the city, "But with so many of these guys running around they might not last long," he thought.

Yami then looked back at thorns and jumped out of the way from a strike. He then landed on the ground with dark orb covering Julius floating next to him. "Those red roses are hiding her magic power, but," he thought before smiling. He then looked towards a pile of thorns, "You should know that I was really good at hide and seek," he said.

"Dark cloaked lightless slash," he said before sending out a dark slash. It cut through the thorns and Charlotte jumped out of the way. She was wielding a green thorn sword that was lit up. The two swords clashed.

"How were you able to find me?" She asked.

"You can hide your magic power but I can read your Ki clearly," he said.

"Ki," she said looking confused.

The two of the exchanged slashes again but then multiples thorns shot out of the sword. Yami then jumped out of the way. "Charlottes always been strong but now she has more close range attack spells," he thought. He then watched as the thorns started spinning in front of her, "Whats more is those roses are making it hard to find out her magic power and her defense is difficult to get though," he thought.

"You cant dodge me forever," Charlotte said.

"Good thing I don't have to," Yami said smiling as a dark orb appeared at the end of his sword. Charlotte then looked surprised as the dark orb sucked in the thorns from her sword, "Dark magic, black hole," he said. Charlotte quickly dodged Yamis next attack and jumped back.

Yami watched as large thorns appeared behind her. With a red rose at the top. "From what I know Charlottes roses used to be red but then turned blue when she was cursed back when she was just a little girl," he thought. "But luckily she was okay after we met," he thought.

"The Charlotte I know used her power to get stronger and I know she is," said Yami. "I know your stronger then this, so don't let this control you," he said looking serious.

"Don't speak to me so casually human," she said calmly.

"Char," a female voice said from behind Yami. Yami looked to see Sol on top of her earth golem and she looked injured.

"Oh no, whats she doing here," Yami thought looking annoyed.

"I know you didn't mean it, but why did you attack us?" She asked looking sad. Remembering when Charlotte was glowing and attacked the blue rose knights around her. "Please come back," she said.

"Quit your whining, I don't know you," Charlotte said calmly.

Sol looked surprised before Yami jumped onto her golems other shoulder. "Listen shes not herself now, some kind of magics controlling her," he said.

"What do you mean?" She asked.

"Listen now that I think about it you showed up at just the right time," he said. The two of them then looked as the golem grabbed the black orb with Julius in it. "You go and get this somewhere safe," he said.

"What," said Sol looking surprised.

"Make sure you move it carefully, theres the body of a hero in there," said Yami when Sol jumped down.

"No, I wont let Char be saved by a man," she said running forward.

"No don't," said Yami looking annoyed.

Sol ran in front the pile of rubble Charlotte was standing on. "Now, Earth magic, multi," she said when a wave of magic came from Charlotte. Destroying her spell making her look surprised.

"That concentrated wave of magic was so powerful, I couldn't even finish," she thought looking surprised. "Shes on a whole different level, not even a captain could fight her," she thought.

Sol then shook her head before standing up and looking serious. "No I refuse to give up, not after everything she's done for me," she thought when someone grabbed her robe. She looked to see Yami who looked annoyed.

"You listen right now, trust me I know what your going through right now," he said. "But were under orders to protect this kingdom and its people," he said. "Leave her to me and you make sure to stay alive," he said.

Sols look then turned sad as she remembered fighting side by side with Charlotte. Tears started coming out of her eyes, "Please save her, the blue rose knights need their captain," she said.

Yami let go of her robe as he stepped forward. "You don't need to ask, shes very important to me too," he said. Sol looked confused for a moment before jumping onto her earth golem and leaving the area.

"Now lets end this quickly," Charlotte said taking out her sword. She then looked surprised when Yami jumped towards her. She quickly blocked his sword with her own and noticed he looked angry.

"Your subordinates crying and your doing nothing," he said. "That's not the Charlotte I know, I know your stronger then this so fight," he said. She looked surprised by his words before looking annoyed and jumping back.

"I'll admit your strong for a human," she said as multiple thorns with roses span next to her. They then formed a large spear, "You have my respect for that," she said.

"That much magic power can destroy most of the town and the people with it," Yami thought. "Well you've always had my respect," Yami said smiling as he held his sword in the air. Charlotte then looked surprised as a lot of darkness shot up from it, "That's why ill use all my power to stop you," he said.

"Briar magic," she said.

"Dark magic," he said.

"Crimson strike spear," she said as the spear shot forward.

"Dark cloaked demension slash," Yami said bringing his sword down.

There was bright flash of light after the spells were fired. Back in the eye of the midnight sun hideout. Noelle looked surprised at Luck and Ben who were still covered by the light. But this time they had red markings on their face.

"This isn't right, this power feels like Vetos," she said. "Its evil," she said.

"This light," said Kirsch looking serious.

Luck put his right arm up smiling as lightning shot up from it.
