No One Needs To Know...(Right Now....)

When the bill came Kara quickly paid the bill before anyone else could get it. "Everyone ready?" Kara asked. "You didn't have to pay...next time we do this...it's on me." Lena whispered. Kara rolled her eyes at her as she held the door open. "Sam, Ruby if you want you can ride with me if you want." Alex offered. Sam looked at Ruby quickly. "Do you want to Rubes?" Sam asked. "We're all going to the same lake right?" Ruby asked. "Yes." Alex replied. "Ok!" Ruby said as she walked over to Alex's car.

Once everyone was in the vehicles again they continued on their journey to the lake. "So you just assumed that you'd be coming along on more weekends?" Kara asked smirking at Lena. "But of course! I'm now your new best friend!" Lena replied. Kara laughed at that. "I was actually thinking of making Ruby my new best friend." Kara joked. "You wound me!" Lena replied pouting. "Oh well..good thing I know how to do wound care...but you'll have to wait till we get to lake now, for me to treat you." Kara replied laughing.

Lena averted her eyes off of Kara's smile. It was stunning! She could stare at it all day and never be bored by it. "So how much further to the lake?" Lena asked. "Only a few more minutes now." Kara replied. True to her word a few minutes later Lena looked out and saw a large lake. It was in that moment Lena decided that shew would definitely be coming every weekend with Kara to this lake ore wherever the gorgeous blonde was going. Kara quickly parked and they got out. Kara and Alex quickly unloaded everything and got it ready. "Ok is everyone ready for a quick lesson in kayaking?" Kara asked. Sam, Ruby and Lena nodded.

Alex and Kara explained the basics of kayaking before they sat the boats near the water. "Ok Ruby, you're gonna use the paddle board right?" Kara asked. "Yes." Ruby replied. "Ok just remember to keep your balance. But if you do fall one of us will come help you back on it." Kara replied. Ruby nodded as she got onto the board.

"Ok, go ahead and paddle out Sam." Alex said. Sam nodded as she pushed off into the water. "Climb in Lena, I'll get in after your settled." Kara said as Alex quickly began paddling away with Ruby, and Sam beside her. "Where do I get in?" Lena asked. "The front, that way you can see everything better." Kara replied. "Ok..." Lena replied as she eased into the seat. Kara quickly attached the floating cooler to the back of the kayak before she got in herself. "Ready?" Kara asked. "Yes." Lena replied. "Ok I'm gonna push off now, it may be a little bumpy." Kara replied. "Ok, thank you for the warning." Lena replied. Kara quickly pushed off into the water and began paddling them around the lake.

"Where are we heading?" Sam asked. "There's an island in the middle it's just a nice field with a little bit of woods." Alex said. "Oh ok!" Ruby replied as he continued paddling. "Tired Rubes?" Sam asked. "No, it's fun!" Ruby replied with a smile. "Where are Kara and Lena? Did they get lost?" Sam asked. "Oh no, Kara's probably taking Lena the scenic route." Alex said. "Oh does she do that with all the girls she takes here?" Sam asked teasingly. "Actually...Kara's never brought anyone up here with us before." Alex admitted. "Well Aunt Lena likes Kara then! Aunt Lena doesn't usually go on outdoor adventures like this. So that must mean she really likes Kara!" Ruby exclaimed. "Ruby!" Sam groaned. "What mom? She does like Kara...it's all she talks about when she comes by." Ruby groans. Alex does her  best to stifle a laugh.

Meanwhile Kara is busy paddling Lena and herself around to the island. "It's really beautifully here." Lena says as she snaps a few pictures. "It's one of my favorite places to come to get out of my head." Kara replied. "I can see why. How come you don't take more women here? They'd fall in love with you quickly after a few trips up here." Lena replied. "Cause most woman I pursue romantically never get thus far. You, Sam and Ruby are the first people that have come up here with Alex in I in a long time." Kara replied.

"Does that make us special now?" Lena asked. "Yea, you're the first friends we've brought here. Alex and I generally work too many hours to make and keep friendships together." Kara replied. "Well I already know that Ruby will be wanting to make this a regular thing." Lena replied. "What about you? You gonna make it a regular thing too?" Kara asked. Lena turned her head and smirked before responding. "If every time we do this we grab breakfast, then of course! But what do you do in the colder months?" Lena asked. "Usually go to visit our mom and go snowboarding or something, you, Sam and Ruby are welcome to join us on any of our adventures. As I'm sure my sister has taken a liking to Sam by now." Kara replied.

"Well I'm sure Sam has taken a liking to your sister too." Lena replied. 'I sure have taken a liking to you Kara Danvers.' Lena thought herself. "We're almost there look!" Kara said pointing to the island. "How are we gonna get out when we get there?" Lena asked. "I'll get out first then pull the kayak closer to the shore then you can get out." Kara replied. "You'll get wet that way..." Lena said. "I know..but that's whey I wore my swimsuit under my clothes. I'll just remove my shorts and top and let them dry when we get there." Kara replied.

True to her word Kara hopped out of the kayak getting completely soaked, having left her pistol in the truck she had nothing to worry about. Lena watched as Kara pulled the kayak up to the shore line, her wet clothes clinging to Kara's body exposing her six pack abs. "Here, I'll help you out, as it's tricker than getting in on land." Kara said as she extended her muscular arm out towards Lena. From down the shore line Alex, Sam and Ruby watched Kara help Lena out of the kayak.

"Hey guys! Al, mind grabbing the cooler? I'm gonna go hang my wet clothes up for a bit." Kara said as she pulled off her tank top revealing a deep blue bikini top that was just a bit too small. Lena's eye's grow two sizes as she watches Kara then pull off her shorts and hang them on a tree limb exposing her matching deep blue bottom and her abs. "I swear Lena...if you don't ask her out...soon...I will!" Sam whispers as Ruby and Alex set up the picnic area. "I'll ask her out soon...I'm just working up to it." Lena replied. "You all ready to eat?" Kara asked pulling them out of their haze. "Yea!" Sam says. "Well come on then. I did make a bunch of sandwiches for nothing..." Kara said as she began walking over to where Alex and Ruby had a blanket on the ground.

"I didn't know we could go swimming here too! I'd brought my suit!" Ruby exclaimed. "Oh we can do it another time. I just wore this because I knew I'd have to hop out and pull the kayak in." Kara replied. "You mean we can do this again? I use the paddle board again?" Ruby asked excitedly. "Of course you can Ruby, as long as it's cool with your mom you both can come with us anytime." Alex said. "What do you think mom? Can we come back?" Ruby asked. "We sure can!" Sam replied. "Good! I think Aunt Lena should come back with us too!" Ruby added. "I've already decided that I'll be coming again." Lena replied. Alex and Kara haired a look as they had a silent conversation.
