In the morning it was Eliza who go up early and started breakfast for everyone. She was in the middle of making pancakes when Ruby came into the kitchen. "Good morning Ruby!" Eliza greeted with a smile. "Good morning..." Ruby stopped herself before she called Eliza grandma not knowing what the older woman would think about it. Eliza saw that the teenager had something on her mind as she poured herself some juice and sat at the table. "Ruby...is something bothering you?" Eliza asked. Ruby shook her head no as she continued to sip her juice. Eliza wasn't convinced but she didn't push it, instead she decided she'd ask Sam what was bothering Ruby later.
Back upstairs Kara was just waking up still wrapped up in Lena's arms. "Good morning beautiful." Kara whispered as she brushed a strand of hair from Lena's sleeping face. "Mmmm good morning!" Lena whispered as she opened her eyes to meet the blue ones of her girlfriends. "Is anyone else up?" Lena asked after a minute. "I think I hear someone in the kitchen...probably mom." Kara said. "Oh.." Lena replied. "She's probably making pancakes." Kara said. "I like pancakes...come on let's go see who else is awake." Lena said with a smile.
They got out of bed and headed downstairs to see Ruby and Eliza in the kitchen and Sam and Alex in the living room. "Good morning everyone!" Kara yawned. "Good morning!" Everyone chorused. "The pancakes smell good Eliza!" Lena gushed as she poured herself a cup of coffee. "Thank you Lena!" Eliza replied. "Is there anything I can help you do?" Lena asked. "Oh no dear, you can go sit down." Eliza replied. "Ok." Lena replied as he joined Kara and Ruby at the table.
A few minutes later there was a platter of food on the table and everyone was sitting down piling food on their plates. "This is so good!" Sam said. "Yea mom! It's amazing!" Alex chimed in. "Thank you!" Eliza replied. "So what does everyone want to do today?" Lena asked. "Can we watch a movie?" Ruby asked. "Sure! That sounds like fun!" Kara replied. "Awesome!" Ruby exclaimed.
After breakfast everyone disappeared upstairs to shower and get dressed before returning downstairs to watch a movie. Half way through the movie marathon Eliza pulled Sam away to ask her what was wrong with Ruby. "She...she sees you as a grandmother figure and is battling with herself to call you grandma." Sam said. "Oh...well she can call me grandma! I don't mind one bit!" Eliza gushed. "I'll let her know." Sam replied as they returned to the living room.
'Knock! Knock! Knock!' "Are you expecting someone now?" Alex asked looking from Kara to the door. "No..." Kara replied as she got up off the sofa and walked to the door opening it to see her boss standing there.
