Today both of them would be returning to work. Kara had spent most of her last weekend off helping Ruby with Biology, after moving into a bigger place with Lena. Ruby wound up getting an A+ on her test Monday afternoon. Kara was smiling when she got the text from the teenager. "I'm so proud of her!" Kara said with a smile as she sat in Lena's office. "She's proud of herself too. You were really good with her Kara." Lena said with a smile. "Thank you darling. Cat said that the photos that were taken will be on next month's front page, and my article will be the main article in the magazine." Kara said. "That's amazing!" Lena gushed as she threw her arms around her girlfriend.
They shared a quick kiss before continuing eating their food. "So Thanksgiving plans...what are we doing?" Lena asked. "We can have it here if you like." Kara suggested. "I like that idea, break it up a bit." Lena hummed as she ate her salad. "I'm thinking this weekend we finish setting up the other rooms." Kara suggested. "Yes I like that idea. You know Sam still can't believe we didn't get another penthouse..." Lena said. "I can't believe it either! We bought a house! A whole ass house with a yard and a pool!" Kara exclaimed. Lena remained silent as she listened to Kara.
She was thinking of a way to go about getting Alex and Eliza's permission to propose to Kara. She knew she wanted to...she just wanted their permission first. The rest she could figure out later. Little did she know that Kara was thinking the same thing. Kara however had a ring and a plan to purpose to Lena, she just wanted to talk to Sam and Ruby about it first. "What are you thinking Lee?" Kara asked. "I'm just wondering what else to get your mom for Christmas thats all." Lena said. "Oh Lee...how about this weekend in between fixing the bedrooms we go Christmas shopping." Kara suggested. "I like that idea. We also have to make room in our garage for all of your outdoor things." Lena said. "That's what we have the attic for love, our garage is for our vehicles." Kara replied. "I know..but I feel bad that it's all up there." Lena replied. "It's ok Lee, it's all organized and everything so I'll be able to find whatever we need when we need it." Kara said as she wrapped her arms around her girlfriend pulling her into a tight hug.
