Ok so earlier this year in my English class our teacher gave us an assignment to read a poem. But this wasn't just any poem, it was a kind of experimental lineation poetry. At first I found it weird, but I saw other poems like it that were kinda cool, and it started to grow on me.
Well today I got bored and tried to make one. It's actually not horrible.
I cant the poem that brought me into this kind of poetry, but basically it's a paragraph with slashes to indicate pauses. This poem is an example.

What Does My Soul Look Like?
My soul is a field of roses / a hopeless romantic / an overflowing platonic / filled with love / the roses / scattered around randomly / not perfect / but still beautiful / still me / some petals are wilted / ripped / fallen / but you only see the good part / the rest is hidden away / the sky is a sunset / orange hues painting the clouds pink / clouds that are fluffy and soft / floating gently / gracefully / you feel at peace / in serenity / like everything will be fine / but a sudden hurricane hits / rain / hail / wind / then gone as fast as it came / the roses look unchanged / still fine / still beautiful / still me / but you'll never know how many petals / were blown away / lie damaged / broken / in the wake of the storm
