  I don't know if I'm really anyone's actual friend

  Is that sad?

I'm never beautifully written like a poem
A song, a symphony

Never gorgeously coloured like a flower
A sketch, a painting

I'm never the first choice
Sometimes not even second
Never the 'plan A'
Never top priority
And I'm tired

I'm always the writer, never the written
Always the composer, never the song
Always the artist, never the art

Maybe it was meant to be
Maybe I was always meant to be the former
Meant to be the poet
But never the poem
