Hush
And listen
To the petals fall
The soft landing
The graceful drop
Captivating my stare
So small
So delicate
And yet a strong reminder
Of what once was, and will never be again
I can still remember you
The sound of your paws hitting wood
Your tail as it swished on the floor
And I can see your ears perk up
As I call you for your meal
Sooner or later
I know I'll see you again
But for now
Hush
