holy wow, it's been a while, huh? (5 months, ik i'm sorry T0T)
so sorry for the long hiatus, i had some things to take care of and stopped writing poems for a while :/ but inspiration never strays from me for long, cuz im BACK
a little update: I WILL BE MOVING ONTO AO3 if y'all are on there. find me as asthepoetssay83. I dont have anything posted yet, but look forward to it sometime this weekend :PP

There's This Melody
There's this melody that's been following me around
The rhythm unfamiliar, but in time with my heart
Turning your texts into hugs, comfort rolled in every letter
And your voice into a soundtrack, varying in tone
It sounds like a guitar when you brush across my skin
And then like a flute when we're running faster than wind
I can feel it in my chest like a drum when we're close
Then like a weeping violin when you leave me alone
It flows through me like water and breaks down like rain
And leaves me breathless when you talk away the pain
What is this?
Don't ask me, I can't answer
But I've never heard it before, not until you
Maybe it was quiet, and now it's just louder
But it plays for me only, and I don't want it to leave
I don't know what it is, that much is true
But there's this melody that's been following me around
And I think it might be you
