When you see a coment streak through the sky
You're told to make a wish
But has it ever come true?
Can you hit your mark with a shooting star?
Or are we just projecting failing dead hopes onto falling dead pieces?
I'd never thought of myself as the center of attention
Not worth revolving around, not worth staying
I thought I didn't like being put on a pedastal
So now I have the mind of a leader, but not the mindset to lead
I've never been attractive
Not appearance-wise or approachability
But the way of getting people's attention
It doesn't surprise me that I can fade away
It doesn't surprise me if I'm not your sun
It's not surprising if it's natural
But that doesn't mean it doesn't hurt
And does a star still shine if no one sees?
No, I'm not important
No, I'm not a favourite
No, I won't ever be a first choice
Yes, I guess there's a reason stars shine alone
But there's also a reason constellations are more beautiful
