I woke up to sunlight streaming through the window, my head pounding with a relentless ache. Groaning, I rubbed my eyes and tried to sit up. The events of the previous night came rushing back, and I remembered where I was.

Tsukishima's room.

I glanced around, taking in the neatness of the space. The discomfort of being in his room settled in, but I forced myself to push it aside. I needed to figure out how to get home and fast.

Reaching for my phone, I saw a barrage of missed messages and calls from Sario. My heart sank as I scrolled through them.

Sario: Where are you? I can't find you anywhere!

Sario: Blackfire, answer your phone!

Sario: Please tell me you're okay. I'm really worried!

Sario: Tanaka said he saw Tsukishima carrying you out. What happened?

Sario: Are you with him? Are you safe?

The last message was sent early in the morning, and I felt a pang of guilt for worrying her. I quickly typed out a response.

Blackfire: I'm okay, Sario. I'm with Tsukishima. I passed out, and he brought me to his place. I'll explain everything later. I'm so sorry for making you worry.

I hit send and took a deep breath, trying to steady myself. My head still throbbed, but at least the dizziness had subsided. I needed to get out of here.

As I swung my legs over the side of the bed and stood up, the door creaked open, and Tsukishima peeked in.

"Hey," he said, his voice soft. "Feeling any better?"

I didn't have time for this. "I need to go," I said briskly, grabbing my things and heading for the door.

"Wait, Blackfire," Tsukishima said, following me out. "You should at least have some water or something. You're still not fully recovered."

I turned to face him, frustration bubbling up. "I don't need your help, Tsukishima. I just need to get home."

His expression hardened. "I'm just trying to make sure you're okay. You don't have to be so stubborn about it."

"Stubborn?" I echoed, feeling my temper rise. "You think I'm being stubborn? Maybe I wouldn't have ended up like this if it weren't for you dragging me here in the first place."

His eyes flashed with irritation. "Dragging you here? I was trying to help you, Blackfire. You were passed out at the party. What was I supposed to do, leave you there?"

"Maybe you should have!" I snapped, feeling the anger rise. "I don't need your pity, and I don't need your so-called help."

Tsukishima took a step closer, his voice low and controlled. "This isn't about pity. It's about doing the right thing. You were in trouble, and I helped. Simple as that."

"Right," I said, my voice dripping with sarcasm. "Always the hero, aren't you? Trying to make up for what you did to Taye."

His face tightened with hurt. "I'm not trying to make up for anything. I just didn't want anything bad to happen to you."

For a moment, we stood there in silence, the weight of our words hanging in the air. I felt a pang of guilt, realizing that maybe I had misjudged his intentions. But the anger and confusion were still too strong.

"Fine," I muttered, turning to leave. "Just stay out of my life."

Tsukishima didn't back down. "You're acting like a child, Blackfire. Grow up and realize that not everyone is out to get you."

I spun around, my temper flaring. "You don't get to tell me how to feel! You don't know what it's like to be me!"

He opened his mouth to respond, but I cut him off, my voice shaking with fury. "Screw you, Tsukishima. You're just a selfish, arrogant jerk who thinks he can fix everything. Well, newsflash: you can't. So just stay out of my life!"

With that, I stormed out, slamming the door behind me. As I walked away, my heart pounded with a mix of anger and regret. This wasn't the end of the story, but it was a chapter I wasn't ready to face just yet.
