Dinner tension

After a fun-filled day at the beach, everyone was starving. The cafeteria at the cabins was bustling with students chatting excitedly about their day as they lined up to get their dinner. I grabbed a tray and filled it with a delicious assortment of food before looking around for a place to sit.

I spotted Sario, Tanaka, and Tsukishima sitting at a table near the back. Sario waved at me, but I hesitated. I had spent most of the day with Kuroo, Kenma, and Lily, and I wanted to continue hanging out with them. Besides, Sario seemed engrossed in her conversation with Tanaka, and Tsukishima was his usual brooding self.

Making up my mind, I turned and headed towards the table where Kuroo, Kenma, and Lily were already seated. Kuroo saw me coming and scooted over to make room.

"Hey, Blackfire!" Kuroo greeted with a grin. "Come join us."

"Thanks," I said, sitting down and placing my tray on the table. "I had such a great time today. It was exactly what I needed."

"Yeah, it was awesome," Lily agreed, her eyes twinkling with happiness. "We should definitely hang out more often."

Kenma nodded, though he was already half-absorbed in his game again. "Agreed."

As we started eating and chatting about our day, I couldn't help but notice Sario's gaze drifting over to our table. She looked a bit hurt, and I felt a pang of guilt. We hadn't really hung out much today, but I figured we could catch up later.

Meanwhile, Tsukishima's eyes were locked onto Kuroo, a frown deepening on his face with each passing minute. The atmosphere between the two of them had been tense ever since the party, and I could sense another confrontation brewing.

It didn't take long for things to escalate. Kuroo was telling a funny story about one of his teammates when Tsukishima abruptly stood up from his table and stalked over to us.

"Kuroo, can I talk to you?" Tsukishima's tone was icy, and everyone at our table fell silent.

Kuroo looked up, his expression hardening. "Sure, Tsukishima. What's up?"

"Outside," Tsukishima said through gritted teeth, jerking his head towards the door.

Kuroo sighed and stood up, glancing at me. "I'll be right back."

The two of them walked outside, and I exchanged worried looks with Lily and Kenma. After a few minutes, I couldn't take it anymore and decided to follow them. I caught sight of them just outside the cafeteria, their voices raised in a heated argument.

"I don't understand why you're always hanging around her!" Tsukishima was saying angrily. "What's your deal?"

"What's my deal?" Kuroo shot back, his eyes blazing. "What's your deal, Tsukishima? You're the one acting like a jealous boyfriend."

"I just don't think you should be—"

"Be what? Friends with her? Look, you don't get to decide who she hangs out with."

I stepped forward, feeling a mix of frustration and anger. "What is going on here?"

Both of them turned to look at me, their expressions a mix of surprise and guilt.

"Nothing, Blackfire. Just a misunderstanding," Kuroo said, trying to brush it off.

"A misunderstanding?" I repeated, crossing my arms. "It looks like another one of your arguments."

Tsukishima scowled. "This has nothing to do with you."

"It has everything to do with me if you two are fighting because of me," I shot back. "I'm not some prize you can argue over. I can decide who I want to hang out with."

"Blackfire—" Kuroo started, but I cut him off.

"No, I'm done with this. I don't need this drama," I said, turning on my heel and walking away.

I stormed back into the cafeteria, ignoring the curious looks from other students. I grabbed my tray and found a quiet corner to sit in, hoping to calm down. A few minutes later, Kuroo and Tsukishima returned, both looking sheepish. They didn't say anything as they went back to their respective tables.

Sario came over, sitting down across from me. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah," I sighed, poking at my food. "I just wish they'd stop fighting all the time."

"They'll figure it out," she said gently. "They're just being stubborn."

I nodded, hoping she was right. The trip was supposed to be fun and relaxing, but now it felt like a storm was brewing. I just hoped we could all get through it without any more conflicts.
