Lily sat beside me, her calming presence slowly easing the storm inside me. She didn't say much, just offered a comforting hand on my shoulder and let me cry. My tears began to slow, and the tightness in my chest started to loosen.

Then I saw Tate running over, her face etched with concern. She knelt down beside me and pulled me into a tight hug. "Blackfire, what happened?" she asked softly.

Through my sobs, I managed to explain everything that had happened—the fight with Tsukishima, the cruel words from Sario. Tate listened quietly, her arms around me, offering the comfort I desperately needed.

"We need to get you out of this mood," Tate said firmly. "How about a sleepover at my place? Just us girls, having fun and forgetting about all the drama."

I sniffled, wiping my tears. "That sounds nice."

Lily nodded in agreement. "Yeah, let's do it. It'll be fun."

We arrived at Tate's house and immediately got into the spirit of a fun sleepover. The atmosphere was light and cheerful, a stark contrast to the earlier events. We changed into our pajamas and made our way to the kitchen to make some food.

Tate pulled out ingredients for homemade pizzas, and we got to work, spreading sauce and sprinkling cheese and toppings. The laughter and chatter filled the kitchen, lifting my spirits.

After our pizzas were done, we settled in the living room, piling up with blankets and snacks to watch movies. Tate had picked out a mix of comedies and feel-good films, perfect for our night of distraction and healing.

As the night went on, we decided to share secrets and talk about our crushes. Lily went first, a shy smile on her face.

"Okay, I have a crush on Kenma," she admitted, her cheeks turning pink.

Tate and I gasped in unison. "No way! Kenma? That's so cute!" Tate exclaimed.

Lily nodded, laughing. "Yeah, he's just so cool and mysterious. I really like him."

Tate then took her turn. "Well, there's this guy in my math class, Pete. He's really smart and sweet. I think I might like him."

We cheered and teased her a bit, making her blush even more. Then they both turned to me, expecting me to share.

I hesitated, still feeling raw from my argument with Tsukishima. "I... I'm not really sure right now. Things are complicated."

Lily gave me a sympathetic smile. "It's okay, Blackfire. You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to."

I nodded, grateful for her understanding. We continued to chat and laugh, the warmth of our friendship providing a much-needed balm for my wounded heart.

The sleepover was exactly what I needed. As we lay in our sleeping bags, the room filled with the soft sound of our breathing, I felt a sense of peace. I wasn't alone; I had friends who cared about me and were there for me.

And even though my relationship with Tsukishima was in turmoil, tonight was about healing and finding comfort in the bonds of friendship. For the first time in a while, I felt hopeful.
