The sun was shining brightly as we arrived at the beach, the sound of waves crashing against the shore filling the air. I took a deep breath, savoring the salty breeze. It was the perfect day to relax and have fun with friends.

"Let's set up over there," Kuroo suggested, pointing to a spot near the water. We found a good place to lay out our towels and bags, and then Kuroo immediately pulled out a volleyball. "How about a game?"

"You're on," I said with a grin. "Lily and I against you and Kenma."

Kenma looked up from his game, a hint of a smile on his face. "Sure, why not."

We set up the makeshift court and started playing. The game was full of laughter and playful banter. Kuroo and Kenma made a surprisingly good team, with Kenma's quick reflexes and Kuroo's height giving them an edge. But Lily and I held our own, determined not to go down without a fight.

"Nice one, Lily!" I cheered as she managed to spike the ball past Kuroo.

"Thanks! Let's keep it up," she replied, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

After a spirited match, Kuroo and Kenma won by a narrow margin. We all collapsed onto our towels, catching our breath and laughing.

"Good game, everyone," Kuroo said, offering a hand to help me up. "You two were tough opponents."

"Yeah, that was fun," I agreed, brushing sand off my legs. "But next time, we'll win."

Kenma chuckled, tucking his game away. "We'll see about that."

We decided to cool off in the water next. Running into the waves, we splashed each other, laughing and shouting. The water was refreshing, and I felt all the stress and tension from the past few weeks melt away.

Kuroo and I had a splash war, trying to outdo each other while Kenma and Lily watched, amused. Eventually, we all ended up soaked and breathless from laughing.

Taking a break from the water, I found myself chatting with Kenma while we walked along the shore.

"So, how long have you known Kuroo?" I asked.

"Since we were kids," Kenma replied, kicking at the sand. "He's always been like an older brother to me."

"That's really cool," I said, smiling. "You two seem really close."

"We are," Kenma agreed, glancing over at Kuroo, who was now playfully teasing Lily. "He's a good friend."

We continued talking about various things—our interests, school, and hobbies. I found out that Kenma was really into video games and that he had a quiet but sharp sense of humor. Despite his reserved nature, he was easy to talk to once you got to know him.

As the sun started to set, we gathered our things and prepared to head back. Before we left, I made sure to get both Lily's and Kenma's numbers. It was nice to have new friends to hang out with, and I wanted to stay in touch.

"Thanks for today, everyone," I said as we walked back to the car. "I had a great time."

"Me too," Lily agreed, smiling. "We should do this again sometime."

"Definitely," Kuroo said, giving me a friendly nudge. "It's been a while since we all had this much fun."

Kenma nodded in agreement, a small smile playing on his lips. "Yeah, it was a good day."

As we drove back to the cabins, I felt a sense of contentment. The trip was turning out to be a wonderful escape from the usual routine, and I was grateful for the chance to make new memories with friends.
