Chapter 24:- LET'S DANCE

          Evelyn walked down the street with her heels in her hands in satisfaction. She had a smile on her face as she felt utter relief. She had corrected one error in her past life without much effort. Heaven seemed to be on her side.
          As she walked down the street she was surrounded by six scrawny looking thugs. The one who seemed to be the leader spoke to her. "Hello pretty"he greeted with a disgusting smile. "Hello you. I would have loved to say ugly but that'll be an insult to ugly people "she replied with half a smile and the thug face darkened in rage.
          The underlings were shocked as they had never seen anyone brave enough to stand up to their boss. He was the fierce SMOKE! any normal person would have been shaking in their boots but this girl,..... does she have a death wish.
          "What, never seen a pretty girl before?"she teased them. "We're not here to cause trouble"he began but she interrupted him. "Yet you hold weapons? If you're not here to cause trouble are you here to Tango?"she asked with half a smile.
          "You...... Give me everything valuable you have on you" he said in a slightly frustrated voice. "But boss we were told to hurt her"one of them reminded and her lips hooked up in  amusement. "Boss let's have a little fun with her"one of them said licking their lips and her smile dropped.
          "Do you know the people I hate the most?. They're people who fantasize about things and can never execute it. Now leave while I'm still pretending to smile "she said in a cold voice that made the thugs freeze for a while . The leader finally reacted and leaned in with a smile grabbing a handful of her white, lustrous hair.
          "Who do you think you are speaking however you please?". "Let go you'll dirty it"she said in a firm voice and the thug seemed to have lost his patience as he pulled harshly on her hair threatening to remove it from her scalp.
          Suddenly, Evelyn raised her leg and delivered her signature kick on his knee cap and a loud crack was heard followed by a deafening scream. He fell on the ground writhing in pain and his underlings face paled as they watched their boss rolling on the floor in pain.
          Evelyn let out a loud sigh as if exhausted and packed her hair with an hairband. "I warned you now let's dance"

          Logan watched the little girl walking on the road with a smile on her face. Sawyer had told him her engagement with the Robbison Family Young Master had been broken just this evening and she was surprisingly happy.
          He honestly didn't know why he was here watching her or why he could not forget about her therefore causing him more sleepless nights than usual for a month.
          He was about to go fetch her when she was suddenly surrounded by thugs and he signaled Sawyer to be alert. He watched her converse with them with a light smile on her face making him wonder if they knew each other but that thought soon dropped as he saw her smile dropped.
          When he saw the man lean in and grabbed her hair he said "Break his hand". Sawyer was late to react and had to ask again as he wanted to be sure his Young Master was okay or when did he start to involve himself in other people's problems.
"Did I put water in my mouth when I spoke? Break his hand!"he said more sternly and Sawyer wasted no time in getting down. But as he opened the door they both watched her kick the man swiftly on his knee cap and a loud crack was heard followed by a deafening scream.
          Sawyer couldn't help but flinch while Logan had a faint smile on his lips like he enjoyed the screams of the man as he got down from the car. "
          "Young Master I don't think Miss Stone needs our help"Sawyer said just in time for them to hear her clear and cool voice say "I warned you now let's dance"and Logan's smirk couldn't grow any wider.
