REBORN AGAIN:- Master's Darling Wife

Chapter 31:- DINNER 2

          Evelyn was pissed as she entered a cab back home. 'What did he take her for? The nerve of that arrogant bastard' she scolded him in her heart. Humiliating her with a check wasn't enough, he still won't leave her alone.
          As she alighted from the cab, she payed him and began walking to her house but something felt off. There was a black Maybach with a plate number 'XXX' which she was sure non of her family member owned. 'Maybe grandma purchased a new car' she thought as she walked towards the house.
          "Second Young Miss the Old Madam as been waiting for you in the living room for quite a while so please hasten your steps" Butler Thompson informed and she nodded not without wondering why.
          As she stepped into the living room, her gaze turned murderous. 'Is he after her life?' she questioned herself internally as she glared at Logan.
          "Evelyn what took you so long?" The Old Madam asked immediately she stepped in and she forced a smile in return. As she was about to speak, Ryan, Caroline, Ava and Alexia arrived from wherever they were.
          Everyone except Alexia was shocked! 'What was Logan Smith doing in their family house and why was he staring intently at Evelyn?' was the thought that ran through everyone's mind as they stared at the man.
          "Good that you're all here, sit down and show respect to young Master Logan" the Old Madam said and everyone snapped out of their individual thoughts. They all took their seats and waited for the Old Madam to address them.
          "Evelyn I would like to commend you. Master Logan as asked to have dinner with you"she said and Ava exploded.
          "What?! What qualifications does she have to want to have dinner with Master Logan?"she shouted and Evelyn rolled her eyes at her temper tantrum. "Ava! You have no right to speak. Don't think I haven't heard about you and Tyler so seat quietly or I'll increase your punishment" the Old Madam rebuked.
           "Mum, I've discussed with the Robinson family, we've agreed to continue the engagement with Evelyn and Tyler" Ryan said and no one noticed the anger that flashed in his eyes.
          Evelyn's head snapped towards Ava to see her reaction and obviously it wasn't good. "I thought I made myself clear?"she said in a frustrated voice. "You don't make the decisions" Ryan raised his voice at her and she scoffed in disbelief.
          Logan suddenly stood up, his face showing his annoyance. "I came to ask her for dinner not her hand in marriage" he said coldness emitting from all parts of his body.
          Ryan swallowed in fear as sweat tricked down his forehead despite the working air conditioner. "I didn't insinuate that Master Logan it's just not socially acceptable to invite someone's fiancé for dinner without his or her partner's consent" he said and suddenly the sweat suddenly froze on his face under Logan's cold and hard stare.
          "Master Logan. Forgive his ignorance" the Old Madam began to plead while Evelyn stared in shock. 'Was he mad about Tyler?. Don't be dense he just finds Ryan annoying' she scolded herself inwardly for thinking like an idiot when actually she was right.
          Logan glared at him before turning to look away. He then turned to Evelyn. "We're having dinner get up or we'll be late" he told her but she didn't make an attempt to move. His stare deepened as if tying to read her when Alicia interrupted them.
           "Big scary uncle that's not how you ask a lady to dinner"she scolded him and Logan raised his eyebrow in slight amusement at her boldness. He was surprisingly calm and not angry.
          "Really then how?"he asked crouching to her level. Caroline wanted to drag her away but a stare from the Old Madam prevented her. "Let me help you. Sister, can you please answer Big Scary Uncle's invitation to dinner for my sake. I'm sure he as no ill intention towards you unless if you really reverence Tyler...."she wanted to continue but Evelyn interrupted her.    
          "Enough I've heard you, I'll go to dinner with him for your sake happy?"she replied barely containing her anger  and Alicia beamed with joy not taking to observation her expression.
          Evelyn stood up from her seat and ascended the stairs to go and change her clothes leaving the rest in the living room.
          "Master Logan, I honestly don't understand your interest in my younger sister" Ava began and Logan's dark eyes became darker. "Her engagement with Tyler still stands, so you vying for her attention is inappropriate" she Bagan lecturing. "and as her elder sister,......"she continued but was cut off coldly by Logan.      
          "You should have a sense of shame".he began, strolling towards her leisurely with one hand in his pocket and the other lighting a cigarette. "As her elder sister you shamelessly went after her fiance not caring about your image as an actress and now you're facing serious backlash but you're not bothered because you have Tyler's protection. But do you know I can ruin both you and Tyler?"he asked as he blew the smoke on her face while she trembled.
          Logan looked like a demon from hell at that moment, a dark angel. The light from the chandelier reflected on his Rolex watch and black leather shoe. His jet black hair was neatly done on his hair, his thin and pink lips released a puff of smoke into the air, his black eyes that looked like an endless abyss stared coldly at Ava making her almost pee her pants, his sharp and attractive jawline made him look dangerously attractive and the godly aura he carried around him made seem  untouchable. Overall, he was a perfect work of art that God took a great deal of time creating.
          "I apologise on her behalf, she spoke out of turn" Caroline pleaded with an agitated expression. "Spoke out of turn or spoke the thoughts that came out of her ugly, dark, manipulative and twisted little  mind" Alicia's provocative voice rang out in the air.
          Logan had a light smirk on his lips listening to her speak. She was sharp witted just like his little blue eyed white rabbit. "Alicia! Don't you start this with me!" Ava warned her and she scoffed in response. "If you dare lay a finger on me, Sister wouldn't hesitate to kick you just like last time and Big Scary Uncle will back her up" she said confidently and the smile on his lips couldn't be suppressed any longer.
          "Ava enough, don't provoke your sister, I'll be out for a while so I can't avenge you immediately if she decides to hurt you" Evelyn's gentle voice came from behind them.
          Logan turned to look and was starstruck. She was wearing a black knee-length, off shoulder gown that clashed beautifully with her snow white skin,  hugged her body and accented her curves perfectly. She looked completely ravishing.
          Ava was immediately jealous and glared daggers at her but she ignored her stares and walked up to Logan. "Shall we?"she asked with a half smile. "My lady after you" he replied with a slight bow and they were off leaving few people glaring at their retreating figures.
