Chapter 54:- A BACKER

     Laura had a bad feeling. She felt like she would regret betting with Evelyn but she had gotten this far and cannot back then now.
     "Fine, go ahead I'm ready. Show me how much of a liar you are" Laura said and Carol cheered while Ava remained silent.
     "I'm paying for this clothes, let me scan the QR code"she said and the receptionist eyed her before handing it over to her.
     Before everyone's curious gazes, she payed for the items, a total of 1.5million dollars.
     For someone who could pay that much in one go must be wealthy, so she was immediately viewed as a VIP.
     "Laura, Carol and Ava do you have anything to say?"now she was taunting them.
     "Sister you're too cunning. You know your sugar daddy gave you money yet you pretended" Ava said out loud and she almost choked on her saliva.
     'Logan her sugar daddy?, Ha! I wish'she thought as she stated at them like they were really fools.
     "If you're out of crazy ideas shut up. Sugar daddy?, you must e insane"she told her sharply then turned to the cashier.
     "Wrap them up for me"she said calmly. She had 4 minutes more to get into the car. Knowing Logan, he hates waiting.
     "Sister don't deny it,his this not your man?" Ava said and showed everyone the picture of Sawyer and her in the hospital.  
     "And that's not all . I meant your men sister" she said and fight before their eyes were pictures of Cole, Ezekiel, Logan and Sawyer in her room.
     "How could she get tangled with the golden heirs and Special Assistant Sawyer?"was the questions asked.
     "Is that hard?. I mean look at her slut like face. With a face like this, capturing the hearts of men is a piece of cake" Carol said nearing her to touch her face but the latter stepped aside as if disgusted.
     "Don't taunt my pure face. It's very beautiful, if anything happens to it, the world can never function properly again"her narcissistic side appeared again and some shook their head in amusement.
     "Shut up you're shameless!. Going about and seducing 4 different men" Laura scolded her and the latter found a chair and sat elegantly.
     "Are you jealous they're not a gangster like your boyfriend but the rich and eligible bachelors?"she teased. She acted like she was actually going out with them.
     "And unlike your boyfriend, they treat me well. That's why U can choose to buy this whole mall"sge simply said and the customers laughed.
     "Sister don't be silly, buy the whole mall?. Don't you think those young masters are just toying with you?. Let me give you sisterly advice....." Ava wanted to go on but was interrupted by Evelyn's yawn.
     "Don't talk about love advice to me. What do you want to teach me?, how to snatch your younger sister's fiancé and sleep with him?" Evelyn deliberately pointed out and Ava's face turned red.
     The customers began to point fingers at her. She was an actress and it had been uploaded by Secret so no one could ever doubt it.
     "Don't speak about Ava like that, it's your fault you couldn't keep your man" Carol defended and Evelyn laughed.
     "Now I know where they got the saying birds of the same feathers always flock together. You're all hopelessly shameless "she said and Laura's face changed.
     "You've hooked up with some men and now you're blasting?" Laura said angrily. "You're just a slut, a cheap one!"she declared.
     During that chaos, the owner, a man in his early 60's arrived and everyone grew silent. Who didn't know the owner of Meteor Garden Mall.
     He approached Evelyn and bowed deeply to her. "My apologies for not welcoming you properly VVVIP. Please leave this place this is not your class"the owner said.
     Evelyn was a bit surprised. She didn't even know this man, how could the owner come to bow to her except.......
     'Let me be your backer, depends on me' Logan's word flashed in my mind and she soon smiled . He really wasn't joking about it.
     "Sir you must be mistaken, this girl is only a poor beggar from the country side. She's a gold digger depending on..." Laura and Carol wanted to continue but he cut them off.
     "Who are this trouble makers and how dare they make a ruckus I my mall. Kick them out!. Meteor Garden Mall no longer welcome you"the man declared and a team of well trained bodyguards appeared and seized them.
     "You've made a mistake, it's meant to be her!" Ava shouted immediately she was held. The numerous cries and protests did nothing to change the owner Mr Henry's mind.
     "Miss Evelyn, Meteor Garden Mall welcomes you anyday, you're our highly esteemed guests. And we've decided to give you a 50% discount on what you have bought". The old man wasn't stupid, the reward he'll receive from Logan would be more than this. If the boss could personally call and tell him to take care of this trivial matter,then she must be important.
     Evelyn let out a small smile at that. Logan must really have some influence. Some?, if only she knew.
     "Next time, I've ready paid an I'm in an hurry, next time. Goodbye Mr Henry"she hurriedly said and ran out.
     He wasn't done. He next shopping would be free and she's having 25% shares of the company.
     Evelyn ran into the parking lot and entered the car. Logan didn't look up at her but kept staring at the book.
     "You're 5 minutes late"he said almost angry but she only smiled sweetly.
     "First Master you're the best. You're such an excellent support system. Words can't express my appreciation. I just gained an important asset"she said with a contented smile not knowing the chaos that had ensued in the car.
     Her sweet backer had almost choked Sawyer to death with his stare. Sawyer hated Ava, if she hadn't shown that photo, the First Master who was watching the surveillance camera wouldn't see it. He was in a romantic square with the other 3 young master's.
     What a backer he is, a jealous one.
