Chapter 48:- SHAMELESS

     The air was cold and warm at the same time. Logan had just heard of the purpose of Ryan's visit to the hospital and his face darkened.
     "Send me that so called contract let me see it"he instructed and Sawyer nodded.
     'He wondered how she dared right now?,. If she thinks about him unconsciously' but when he noticed the direction his thoughts were driving at, his gaze darkened and he buried himself into a particular proposal.

     Evelyn wanted to shed tears to no avail. She wasn't going to get discharged until 2 weeks later after Logan has signed the discharge procedures.
     Her freedom depended on that a**hole of a man. She bawled her eyes over the disgusting medicinal porridge while going through Weibo, the 6th trending topic was of a rumour of the Scott family young lady in a relationship.
     She smiled seeing this and her mood improved drastically.
     She picked up her phone and called Smoke. The phone rang for a while but there was no response until the 4th ring.
     Smoke saw her call and was to scared to pick up. He feared that she would send him on another outrageously wicked mission.
     "Were you ignoring me?"her cool voice came from the phone touching him straight in the heart like a light feather. Just with her voice, he knew she was painstakingly beautiful.
     "Never boss!"he hurriedly replied and she chuckled darkly as if mocking him for his stupidity.
     "Lying doesn't fit you, and I hate lies. Plus I'm not a witch"she replied and he looked around to see if there were any secret cameras round him anywhere .
     "There is no secret camera too stop being paranoid, stalking is against the law"she said and he was stunned stupid for a while.
     His whole mission was against the law yet, she's acting like she's a good citizen of he country.
    "I'll forgive you, as I'm seeing progress in your job, keep it up and please make things speedy but believable. If there's a mistake, I'm coming for you too with a more ruthless method"she threatened and ended the call.
     Smoke picked up his phone and failed a number. "Dragon, let's meet up. I have a job for you and it involves your favourite "he said and the receiver set a time .
     In a week or two, half of the internet will shake and in another 3 weeks the whole Scott family will tremble and in a month, they will fall hard to the dust.
     She then called her apprentice who eagerly picked up.
     "I can't leave the hospital till 2 weeks so, the operation is on hold, but when I can, let's meet up" to discuss how they were going to distribute the extra benefits that comes with the mission.She told him and he agreed. Six billion dollars was a lot of money.
     It was to get 2 percent of Logan's company shares. If two percent is 6 billion dollars worth for stealing, then one percent can make you a billionaire. She was going to steal 13 percent, she would drown him with all his arrogance till there is nothing left of him. He owned 80 percent, so for now 13 percent was playing it safe. 11 percent for her and 2 for her hirer.

     Logan suddenly sneezed loudly. He had a bad feeling, that Evelyn was really going to accept it. He believed she wasn't going to after he cleared his head, but now he wasn't so sure.
    "Pay close attention to the company's shares if it drops even by 0.0001, you are fired" he said and Sawyer swallowed.'Is Miss Stone really going to make a move?'he broke out in a cold sweat.

    She took out her phone and began studying Logan's company. It was already evening when she began. She went into a full dive in, into every confidential company information and every other useful information for when she'll be CEO. She fell asleep while studying as she was extremely tired.
    The door opened and a man in a black windbreaker walked in with quiet but elegant steps.
     It was no other than Logan who walked in and stared at the real life sleeping beauty.
     She looked so peaceful while sleeping and he was lost in a trance. Her calm appearance drawed him in, he was about to go and touch her as if hypnotized but her phone beeped and he picked it.
     It was her grandmother asking after her. He knew it was wrong as it was invasion of privacy but this girl was so mysterious it was a real temptation not to snoop around her things. For someone with no record of existence and strange identities, seeing the device that might answer half of his questions, it was impossible to overlook it.
     He stared intently as an idea popped into his head. He opened her phone with a gadget that he of course shouldn't own and began to turn everything upside down.
     In files it was a list of Korean dramas and Chinese dramas. 
     In Netflix it was the same movies with a bit of romance and action filled movies.
     In photos, it was screenshots of jewelleries, her beautiful self and other unimportant things.
     After a full 30 minutes of searching, there was nothing. The only app left was a charity organisation app, and when he opened it, he was amazed.
    It wasn't an app but another phone on the phone. Like it was a while new world and breaking in was quite difficult. It was like he was trying to break into high level security prison.
     When he finally succeeded, it was getting late. The first thing on the list was Operation Downfall which by the way as many segments   but as he was about to open it, a pair of murderous blue eyes glared dangerously at him, like an hunter who as caught his prey. 
     "Aren't you shameless First Master?". He didn't even know when she woke up but now she was up and there was no escaping.

     I don't usually publicize for people's novels but I have a feeling this one would be wild and very entertaining.
     It's titled Welcome Home Mrs Lucifer. The first chapter already got me hooked and I have to admit it's better than mine. Even the choice of diction and each carefully chosen words got me hooked .

     And y'all haven't answer my question in the previous chapters about the characters. Can you all guess what Evelyn wants to do to Laura Scott, and if you've noticed, Tyler's mother is also Laura but Laura Robinson so don't mix it up.
